I did the same and I think a subtle and elegant spec fits the Vanquish better. I don't like the way they unveiled it. I think their spec looks catchy and it has a weird balance of chrome, black and bronze trims/wheels. For your information, I think Concours Blue and Chiltern Green fit this car so well!!!

I’m partial to the launch spec, like Bembi said it looks almost Italian, reminds me of the 60’s style Ferraris, Maseratis, and Alfa Romeo’s, with the curves and proportions. Much more so in that red. Watch Mr.JWW review in 4K.

I love the fact that from a side view, the Vanquish looks like it has the mouth of a basking shark (the exact same animal you put up at 6:52) which couldn't be more fitting for a car that has a massive V12. In other words, this car means business since that monster of a V12 needs to breathe somehow after all.

The last DBS Superlegerra looked better and unique ... the Vanquish's front looks too similar to the Vantage with a slightly larger grill, only the rear looks something new

I LOVE all the new designs, AM has been cooking recently and probably my favourite brand in terms of design 🔥 BUT I would like to see somewhat of a bigger difference in the upper front bumper-headlights-hood area. I think that the DB12, Vantage and Vanquish are now too similar to eachother in that area and even though I wasn't a fan of some latest designs, I could instantly recognize what model I'm seeing. With the newest ones I'd have to think twice when I saw one on the street from the front view. I completely understand it is a very strong Aston Martin design language and key features, but I am sure it could've been done a bit differently

I get it, but that's what gives it its stance and presence, and relates to the old Vanquish. Without that it would be another forgetable GT or just the same DB9 re-hash, which if you're a Porsche fan you might be fine with, but AM aren't trying to sell people the same thing over and over.

@@JGKZbin0Aston is changing. This vanquish is a breath of fresh air in terms of design. It looks more of a proper GT sports car rather than the early 2000s vanquish. This will set a benchmark for the future design of Aston Martin, similar to the old vanquish which later set a benchmark design to the Earlier v8 vantage, DB9 and DBS of the early 2000s

Im not a fan of the front or the back. I miss the small A-M grille and simple front end, refer to 2013 DB9, and the rear as well. I miss the simple rear of the VH DBS. Not in love with this design i wont lie.

100% Agreed. This is never going to dethrone the DB9S for me in terms of simplistic beauty in its looks, and the sound of the engine, which is like an embarrassing attempt to make it sound as loud and meaty as their big ol' 5.9L V12. The front mouth grille is horrid, they cheaped out with the headlights by just stealing it from their own new Vantage, which is obviously how you make a car for a luxury brand. The back of the car looks like they've taken their inspiration from the new Z, a Kia EV6, and their Vulcan, and put it in a mixer, and voila - not too far from ugly. The front and back certainly have been done by two different designers, because they just don't seem to connect, or be synonymous in any way. Just as confusing is the side profile that tries to connect the front and back.

Stunning car! Design is special, a blend of one77, valor, and db12/vantage. The extra length gives it major one77 vibes. Full carbon body, and a v12. Plus the interior is legit way better than the 12cilindri. Overall a special special car that seems closer to a one77 than the prior vanquish.

7:00 I actually prefer the front with the leading edge like that. Not only does it accentuate the hood length, but it also reminds me of the 2012/13 Formula 1 cars that had the pointy nose separated from the lower wing.

The biggest win design wise its its uniqueness from the DB12. The 2nd gen Vanquish, DBS and DB9 of the were too similar in design like didferent bodykits opposed to one being a different model. This Vanquish feels like it embodies the 1st gen Vanquish with its muscular form. These new instrument panels were definitely an upgrade. Aston in that regard were looking like they were struggling financially as that elipse form carried through so many cars like the Lagonda. The whole getting old Mercedes-Benz infotainment tech wasn't a hd look either.

Agreed, the spec in shmee's video was gorgeous. Though, I think whether you should get the back in body colour or satin carbon or gloss carbon depends on the body color. I think satin carbon looks really good on a white spec and gloss carbon adds some nice contrast to a darker satin body colour.

I was one of those people years ago that said HP is about to not matter as much when average cars started pushing 500+ HP. I still feel that way. People who take their cars to the drag strip or track obviously wouldn’t agree with me, but 99 percent of people don’t do that! I like a fast car, but drinking around town and having a spirited drive on the highway or stop light to stop light don’t require 1000+HP. With electric cars coming on the scene, I’m not sure if more HP will sell cars in the future!

I quite like the side and top view of this car, not a fan of the front or rear, the taillights are super small and in the corner with that black piece in the middle filling the void and in the front the grill is so big it kills any sort of design that could happen there.

Biggest problem with it is it looks too much like the Vantage from the front. It doesn't feel like the front matches the rear. It has also lost Aston Martin's classical beauty that the old Vanquish and DB9 had. And the problem is this competes with the Ferrari 12Cilindri and Bentley Continental GT. One of which will probably be dynamically superior, the other of which will be far more luxurious. While both are more beautiful in my opinion. What this does have over the 12Cilindri is the interior. Having physical buttons is a huge plus, but besides that I feel like I'd either go with the Bentley or the Ferrari. The DB12 is a better looking car from the front imo

@@krane15 It's a competitor as far as price and performance though. It may not be 12 cylinders, but the GT Speed produces 771 horsepower. Not the 800+ of the 12Cilindri or Vanquish, but not far off. And what it has that those don't is a more luxurious ride and interior.

Another Aston Martin masterpiece. The backside looks super stunning. But the front looks like other Aston Martins. I was hoping for more like a Valour face, or something in between. The new interiors are nice, but they look borrowed from Bentley or Porsche. The old interior designs were unique to Aston Martin. I prefer the staggered-wheel setup. It hackens back to race car tradition. It shows that the power is coming from the rear. I don't think that production sports cars stagger their wheels enough. The rear wheels should be much bigger than the front.

No doubt the car looks badass its almost perfect i think there is nothing wrong in the design department but in the front it looks like the new vantage which is a baby Aston martin. I think Aston could have done more different in the front i am saying there is nothing wrong with it but they could have made it a look a little bit more special from the front..

Aston Martin design is so overrated, I can't understand how everyone loses their minds over a formula that's barely changed over the years. Everyone gives other brands crap for their massive grilles but AM are one of the biggest offenders. It doesn't even fit with the proportions of the car, it's bigger than the DBX's grille! This car's rear end looks like it was styled by a totally different team to the front end as well. The designer even stated that the back is a new design language for them and the front is an evolution, not sure why they would do that. The best AM design in recent years is the cancelled Vanquish mid-engined supercar. Now that was genuinely beautiful.

Its a pretty car, but its not a all time great design. The 12 Cilindri is a better looking and forward looking car. That car looks like a half a million dollars. Vanquish looks like a permutation of the Aston line, and not the best looking- Vantage is by far the best looking. The 3q rear view feels like a Camaro on the roofline. Im just not moved by this.

Hard disagree with the 12C, the Vanquish will for sure age better. 12C is more forced and over designed than the Vanquish, Ferrari knows it too, which is why they limit the spec options so much, that car has about as much natural beauty and allure as a moderna art deco gallery. 12C is a very pretty car but massively overrated. Not a modern classic work of art like people insist it is. Vanquish isn't perfect compared to even Vantage or Roma, but it's well clear of 12C imo.

Just look at the effin evolution of Lamborghini and AM. Lambo will be sleeping with the fishes very very soon due to the disastruous management of zeee germans, turned it to schaize, from temerario to urus se to the slowvuelto (granted it still looks good) while Aston has been brought so high up by Stroll and it's probably in the best place it's ever been as a company. Stroll should buy Lambo too and save it.

430k base, probably 480k out the door. Thats way to expensive imo. It should have been in the 3s. I get its not all about performance but if theyre asking that much it should be faster for a v12.

You're literally not who they're making the car for. It's a GT car, not a hypercar. The point of it is to be comfortable on long drives, but to still have the ability to boast a v12. For the people who this is aimed at, 400- 500k is nothing.

I love Aston Martin, but their recent designs haven't been incredible imo. The new Vantage looks awful for Aston. The 2019 generation looks incredible, one of the cleanest cars ever made. I hate the new car's headlights and it looks too similar to the DB12, and now the Vanquish looks too similar to the new Vantage. The newest Valhalla model has the same headlights and it does not work at ALL for that car.
