Lets get one thing straight, "playing at the highest level" does not automatically make a person a better football analyst. There are some great players who have the most ridiculous takes especially on management when they themselves have failed or can never take that job, and thats ok, but doesn't mean someone who hasnt played at that level cant call it out or have a better opinion. Football opinions are not reserved for only those who played at the highest level, when they give cr*p opinions it will be called out!

Engaging and interesting. A mature, honest Gabby Agbonlahor answering questions in a well balanced interview. Whoever chooses to focus on and attempt to magnify/highlight his lows rather than his highs with mudslinging comments, are probably carrying around immaturity issues within themselves. Plus they more than likely didn't listen to the full interview so as to understand his life from his perspective. Gabby is Villa through and through. I've got time for him. Warts 'n' all. UTV

What the actual fact is: This entire interview is Gabby answering the questions that he was asked. Take your hate hat off. You're not twelve years old anymore. Gabby was great for Villa but ended it poorly. So what? I remember the highs far more than the lows. Gabby is a mature man now. He made his mistakes and fully well knows he did. The fact that he's still a proud supporter of AVFC makes all of the haters seem bitter and rather immature.

Watkins 70 goals (and counting) in 4 seasons. Agbonlahor 87 goals in 13 seasons. What exactly is _legendary_ about those stats? 35:50 As he said he was a party guy since 18 and that's why we won nothing and he didn't either. Joe is exactly the same the only difference is he's being carried by actual elite footballers at city. He will get found out soon because for £100m his city stats are garbage. Agbonlahor is not a legend. He was a pace merchant with a crap attitude. Granted, he scored a few goals, but he was nowhere near being the best player in any of the teams he played in & he is nowhere near "legend" status. @AndyDakin
@AndyDakin 22 күн бұрын
I imagine that depends on multiple factors. A players ability. Their teams ability. The attitude & work-rate of the player. The quality of the opposition. Etc, etc, etc. Its not as easy as saying, no its not easy scoring in the Premier League. What I will say about Agbonlahor, while he has the record number of Prem goals for the now, his goals to games ratio is quite poor. 1 goal in 4.5 games is nothing special. And I do not see why we only count Prem goals. There are plenty of strikers throughout Villas history that are way ahead of Agbonlahor in the goalscoring charts & most did it in less games. And thats without including his party-boy lifestyle. When you had James Milner going & asking Martin O'Neill for better training & tactics, while Agbonlahor was only going & asking for time off so they could party in Vegas, that right there tells the difference between a decent enough player in Agbonlahor, & a dedicated professional in Milner. If I had Agbonlahors ability, as limited as he was, & I played for the club I allege to support, I would not be taking time off during the week of games to travel to Vegas to party it up. I would knuckle down & try to make the most of my limited ability so that I can become a legend at my own club. And it is possible to be a limited player but be a legend due to your work rate & attitude. As the likes ofTony Daley & Ian Taylor prove...
