Hi Wes , just as you more or less bullied by Mark Hughes , you faced John Hartson who was also stocky and exceptionally strong . He turned you twice for Coventry to go 2 : 0 up in this vital last day of the season . It was a vital last day of the season , early KO , match which we needed to win to win the league , depending on what the other later KO teams did ! We did actually win it and on that day , beating Coventry 4 : 0 !! Where I believe Sir Alex was at fault was getting you to mark Hartson when the much physically stronger player : Jaap Stam was at your side ! Hartson would never have got the better of Stam ! In fact , having been a supporter since 1966 , my favourite centre back pairing would be Jaap Stam and Paul McGrath ! The reason Fergie let Stam go was definitely not because he had lost a yard of space , which he hadn't , it was because of what Stam revealed in his book ! The irony was that he then bought Lauren Blanc who was slow and getting on in years but a very good reader of the game ! Thanks for the great service , both at CB and FB , you gave United , STEE

It's a shame what happened to Wes. He was trying to please his ex lap dancer wife who coincidentally left him once he became broke. He was no way earning enough money to buy a house for £5-6 million. £50,000 a week for four years (age of 28) = over 10million (50x52x4 = 10400. X1000= 10,400,000) . He was on 31k a week for years before he was 28. He could easily afford a 6mil house.
