What happened to your old one, my oil light flashes for a blink of a second after cold startup

My old engine was rattling really badly, turned out to be play in 2 of the pistons although the oil pressure was fine, your issues could be something as simple as the oil pressure switch, I had the same problem on an old Corsa

VauxRez found it! I had a piece of insulation tape in my oil strainer, almost killed engine due to tiny bit of tape, thx anyway
