This car came to me with the fault "Code 95"...
Pointing to a problem with the Airbags system...
While investigating, quickly realised that this was another one that has been bodged...
Will I be able to fix it?

Very clever fella luis. I bought Astra j few years ago and some clever mechanic done exactly the same with eml light. Is it possible to clone a set of clocks using the method you used? My clocks are faulty and I have a doner set but need them programmed to car.

Not sure about the cluster, as I don't know if this method will correct the mileage... Will work if the cluster was new... obviously! But will be possible to do it on the bench... most likely... Thank you for watching!

10/10 as usual! When you connect the resistor, you are basically mimicking the deploy circuit resistance, so, no chance to trigger an airbag activation right ? my doubt is, as long as the airbag plug is disconnected you are safe to take any measurements ?

Correct... the resistor mimics the airbag... To be 100% safe, disconnect the battery... But yes, is the it is unplugged and you don't do anything silly...lol... shouldn't be a problem... 👍👍👍

What diagnostic tool would you recommend for non professional, something that is not expensive. In order to read code errors to find where the problem come, to delete the errors and of possible to activate various options on the car, for example open close windows from car key. Thanks

Hi I use the MS908P... But Autel does have other models relatively cheaper... That is the only tool really I have experience with, can't really advise on others... 👍👍👍

Actually I had the reverse happen .I had to change the ecu On an Alfa I swapped the eprom on the s/h ecu to start the car but the airbag light came on with a configuration fault.I got rid of it by flashing the file of the old ecu on to the s/h ecu.Obviously I did not have your kind of software

Absolute scum whoever bodge it before you got your hands on it. More intrested in making a few extra quid back rather then the next persons safety. As someone else mentioned in the comments when they go off they lock in place so you cant use them so they have clearly been deliberately modified to get around that. At least this owner did the right thing in getting the main man to get it sorted properly. Good fix and thanks for sharing.

Some one has removed to ball cage,once deployed the belts the belts are locked,remove the balls,seat belts work,but they won’t tension again.

Can't you do everything on the diagnostic side with IM608???? The seatbelts have been tampered with because they wont pull out after firing.

There is no complete tool... The IM608 is primarily to program keys, and programming chips... It does have diagnostics capabilities very similar to the MS908P... if not the same...

The IM608 lacks the BMW and Mercedes flashing... at least when I last checked... someone mentioned that that has been introduced on the IM608, but I had no chance to test it yet...

This is one of the risks of buying a Accident Damaged repaired car. You don't know how they have repaired it, and in this case it's a bodge. Absolutely shocking tbh, in the event of a accident, this vehicles airbags won't deploy.

To get to your Level of skill in this job, you must be able to stand a critic, there is no way you can improve in this field other way. And believe me I don't think there is a man or woman in the world who watch you guys more than I do. So I think that makes me qulified to have valuable opinion. 😊 You never know when for unforseen (or not), reasons I can't record for some time... (which is actually about to happen...) This way I can still publish and keep the channel going... If I would publish as I record, I would be putting over 15 videos on some months and 1 or 2 on some others... no one would watch me 15 times in a month... lol This way I can maintain consistency... I had resistors on my 2016 1.6 cdti on both seatbelts.It's too expensive to buy new seatbelts and tensioners so my airbag won't pull back if i will have an accident.
