I have no idea what they are doing unless I can see what they are doing. So I need more shots of the models to become invested in the game. Leman russ tanks don't get grinding advance on overwatch. So he shouldn't be overwatching with 2d6 from the turret. 1 D6 only.

i was confused a bit when watching this seemed a bit big for 2000pts in ninth until i saw the roster so you are using 9th rule sets but 8th point values understandable since the points havent offically released yet

The necron army roster adds up to about 2150 points.. what points value were you guys supposed to be playing? I'm confused, in the roster it says the battalion detachment is 1648pt total but it adds up to way more, it's closer to 2000. Then with the outrider detachment on top it's roughly 2150

They're bad, their overpriced niche units with little ability to do anything but hold objective's in the backfield. Yes they have anti-psycher stuff, but the Custodes already have striats to deal with that and often just go kill them. They're also an elite slot and Custodes need thous for their best stuff. That being said, if you run a bike list, 2 squads to sit in the back might be worth it, but even than Guards with sword and board would probably be better.

At 5:30 you can only get 1d6 shot with the main turret during overwatch. The 2d6 shots is in the shooting phase if you have moved less than half its movement.

Real battles are rarely fought to the annihlation of one force or another, but instead are fought over territory gains and losses until one side retreats or surrenders. When you consider the relative scarcity of certain units in the lore it definitely doesn’t make sense for whole armies of these units to be tabled in battles.

They did not talk at all about any new Necron rules or FAQs beyond what is in the Indomitus box set.

Its annoying because they are keeping whatever changes to rp close to their sleeves. We know they worked on it but everything from leaks, the battles they did, and the chapter focus did not mention the changes. Hell we even have point costs leaked before rp. This worries me. I hope it is better and they are not holding back to ensure people buy necrons before nerfing it.

Also disagree on triarch stalker a bit. 9th ed mobility is good. Also with monsters and vehicles on rise AT is good. Having mobile AT thus should be pretty good and so far it's been great. And ability to give rr1 for others is nice bonus. Makes DDA so much more reliable

If there's one thing I hate in a battle report it's being able to see the models, the overall situation on the table, and the state of the game. If there's one thing I love in a battle report it's a series of long unbroken camera shots on the players standing around. What great editing. As a bonus, the way the Necron player constantly talked over and table-captained the Guard player was *chef's kiss*, brilliant.

That was thought watching it as well. Would have prevented it from shooting his other units on the following turn on bottom profile 6+ BS instead of 5+ in overwatch. And likely killed it without losing the Skorpekh Lord. And likely killed the Chimera too.

Terrain looks great and thematic but again it blocks view and as the camera stays on the presenters most of the time it's easy to lose track of what's where and stay engaged. We don't need to see the players every 5 seconds. Brian do you realise you talk over people and interrupt constantly? Even when Adrian was going through his army list.

I really hate the "tetris" tank deployment tactic. Sure, it's competitive yada yada, but it looks comical. It's seeing the game as maths problem, detached from logic. Am i the only one that would like to see these long range arti type weapons changed to off board style units? I just hate having them on the table when they have such ranges.. maybe a spotter could be there, who can then be assassinated to deny arti support besides via a 1 CP ability that lets you fire your arti without a spotter. So.. even if you loose the spotters you can still use at least one. I dunno, maybe im crazy.

Shocking to see how much of the Guard rules they don't know or mistakes made 1. Infantry squad sergeants do not have lasguns, so with rapid fire 18 shots instead of 20 2. Chimera toughness is 7 not 6 3. Chimera must have a hull heavy bolter or heavy flamer 4. Chimera Lasgun array is 24" not 36" 5. Demolisher Cannons are D6 shots not D3 6. Wyvers reroll failed wound rolls 7. Hellhammer has 26 wounds not 24 wounds 8. Multilaser isn't blast right? :*) Although I'm sure these are just studio armies and maybe they don't play the army most of the time / also play multiple other armies as well

I think Morale has a main problem: if you kill 9 men out of a 10 men squad may actually fail, while if you kill 4 men out of a 5 men sqaud the last man standing will never fail... that doesn't make sense

Appreciate the video quality, commentary and sportsmanship ship. Watching these new competitive games and playing them, my initial conclusion is competitive games in the 9th format is a complete dumpster fire. Obviously I was to stay positive, but how these missions are scored, different times in the game and the quantity of points to keep track of is ludicrous. The 9th rules are pretty fun. Playing these new comp rules, terrible for the game. Like 70% of the world is playing ITC, which was amazing. Nova missions are terrible. GW coming in for a power grab and has ruined the competitive format. I hope frontline gaming goes back to ITC. Sorry to complain - Tabletop Titans is awesome.

Necrons aren't very good, proceeds to take all the worst necron units. Necrons don't need a ton of CPs to function. I've dropped troops entirely as those are the weakest link in the chain, run wraiths instead 3 wound 3++ invulnerable fast, cover the objectives with wraiths. Run destroyers, triple dda, both ctan for threat and mw abilities, deciever to reposition if you need to. Threat saturation, by the time your opponent is ready to deal with the wraiths your ahead on points.
