Kaijus, people. They exist for a reason. Namely, to eat decks that rely on singular boss monsters alive. Very few decks can block a Kaiju at all, let alone reliably, and while it is not hard to build a deck resistant to being Kaiju'd you will never find a deck where it is useless to Kaiju something on their board.

@@nastyfero the card has one other weak area past kaiju cards, crooked cook is weak to Sage De fleur as once that sets crooked cook, itself, one other target, the cards continuous effects will stop applying immediately on Sage De Fluer being present on at least one side If it has AstralKuriboh and right hand shark attached it’s invincible to both destruction by battle and all other monster, spell and trap card effects As it is a very powerful and valuable card to have as an asset, the key is being able to leverage it correctly Number 59’s immunity does include all other number archetype members as once it runs out of overlay units or Xyz materials, it will sit there until something else can remove it like a kaiju or sage at that immediate moment in time, or most anything else that is allowed to work around the card I’m running this for the first time on Crystal beasts in the tournament environment, hope I do well

i was using invoke shaddoll dogmatika when i met this deck, and just summoned invoked purgatorio to do pierce damage while had mechaba standby to negate any counter.

Other than monster with piercing, you can use direct attacking things. Theres this xyz monster that can direct attack with 2k atk whenever you remove a material. It also can't be targeted for attack. Its also cheap. N rarity and uses 2 lv 4 generic monsters so you can splash it in any build as long as most of your monsters are lv 4. Can't remember its name. Like Heartscend or something.

u can also tribute the monster or summon something on ur opponent side of the field such as Ojama Trio (can also be a trap or magic card) as long it is on your opponent side of field

@@_Yuputka_ Destroying opponent's monsters, ideally before cook. That's what i meant. But usually the bad stuff comes out when you can't really play stuff on your field anymore, that's where kaijus and lava golems play an huge af role

I think there's an old card that gives your opponent tokens for this very reason. Also there's a card that negates cards effects. The chalice comes to mind.

@@nastyfero found the physical card. Forbidden chalice. Spell card, Quick effect. One face up monster on the field gains 400 atk, but its effect is negated until the end phase.

@@nastyfero summon two tokens on it. It activate it effect to tribute the tokens. Chain that with the chalice. Chalice chains first, negating its effect. Even if it becomes the only monster, his effect was negated before his effect could activate. Is a round about way to do it. So best do it if you got boss monster ready to go. Not to mention a good hand trap may counter that.

There are a few ways to defeat a crooked cook deck but only 1 guarantee way. 1: piercing/direct dmg. The problem with this way however is that crooked cook players can counter it very easyly with a Sphere Kuriboh, Kaiju or a golden ladybug. 2: summon a monster or a token on his field. But still can be countered thanks to crooked cook detaching material effect. 3: you can prevent him from being summoned with ash Blossom or similar cards "if you are lucky" And finally 4th way you can Kaiju him and by far this is your only and most viable solution. Just have a kaiju or 2 in your deck in case of you run again in this kind of deck. The other 3 options can either be countered or you have to run a specific deck.

@@varis5978 1 plz put a coma between words cause i actually thought that there was a card called "ignister sky striker" xD hahahah!!! 2nd Been there, defeated them. These decks are falling on the 1st category, they can be countered. Either with Sphere Kuriboh, or even if i don't have sphere kuriboh on my hands i will take the dmg and tribute them during my turn. Or i will just regenerate the damage with "golden ladybug" EXCEPT IF i am so unlucky and i don't have any of these cards on my hand and somehow you deal 8000+ piercing/over damage in 1 turn, to me then yeah that would work.

1: swift scarecrow, golden ladybug and battle tuning +Ursarctic Megabilis be like: bonjour 2: you said it already, cook can just destroy them 3: right hand shark can revive itself from the graveyard, so its really hard to prevent the summon of the cook 4: once again swift scarecrow, and golden ladybug 5: deck out - not consistent 6: infernal tempest + necroface - once again not consistent there are only 2 true ways to deal with this mf: 7: burn damage 8 otk's and ftk's how do i know all of that? its simple IM A PRO COOK PLAYER 😈 (feel free to ask any questions)

Crooked Cook is one of the most notorious floodgate cards to deal with. Most decks don't consider running Kaijus or piercing damage effects just for cards like this. Therefore, Konami should have banned this card a while ago, but they seem to not having gotten around to it yet, unfortunately. This card makes stalling to win easier to achieve, especially if playing Exodia as an optional win condition, in which most of these players do.

@@nastyfero you act like this deck is unbeatable. i main it so i know its far from the case. yes it can beat meta decks like eldrich or tribrigade, but at the same time it looses to a noob decks like toons or blue eyes white dragon. if a deck would be flawless, the devs would nerf it. you just have to make your deck better and stop complaining.

I have faced a player using the same deck but he was unlucky because i was using a pendulum deck so i smashed him in the next turn with odd eyes pendulum dragon and supreme king starving Venom ( dealing double damage even in defense mode 😂😂😂)

They way I beat a player like them is with a Solfachord Deck but instead of using piercing dmg, burn dmg or attacking directly I instead used my opponent’s crooked cook along with I:P Masquerena to Link Summon Underworld Goddess.

@@nastyfero No problem and you can expect them to not summon anymore monsters especially with Crooked Cook’s effect and if you use I:P Masquerena as Link material the monster you link summoned with her cannot be destroyed by card effects along with that Underworld Goddess negates pretty much everything.

@@nastyfero Also the boss monster for the Solfachord Deck is like a mini Baronne de Fleur as not only can it negate up to two cards depending on your pendulum scale but if a monster activates it’s effect that monster will be destroyed. This may work against Drytron Players if you go first and have a good hand which you probably will with this deck.
