Haven’t done one of these for 20 years so I watched for refresher. Did everything but 1/4 turn on head bolt. We had family stuff to do and I came home put everything back together started the car it ran great for 1 minuet. Needless to say I had to redo everything again. Thanks for your help.

WOW Larry, don't you hate when you make mistakes like that, and you can only get upset at yourself? The good thing about it it when you realized you had to do it all over again, it was done in like 20 minutes because you were upset, lol!

Tim , hey on this video you mentioned about you’ve done a valve seals change on dodge caravan. I happen to be doing a valve seal change on my 2003 dodge caravan rite now with the head on . I just couldnt find the compatible valve spring comperesor. I’ve ordered 4 diff compressor on ebay and none of them work . Could you tell me if you change the caravan valve seal with the heads on and what valve spring compressor you used. I know this is a 7 yrs old post but maybe you still check comments every now and then

The lifters are about 1/4 of inch higher which are in cylinder one. There is play thus n the lower lifterd push rods across all the other cylinders, except the one rod on cylinder four. but none of the rods are falling out of the rocker arms. they are either super tight (cylinder one and the fourth cylinder push rod) or really loose . will it eventually come to order or have i misaligned something. this is part two to the comment below. thanks! also the lifter oil hole faces each cylinder, like an eye facing the cylinder is that right or should they be facing opposite

Great job on this. . .quick question- it looks like you can access and remove the lifters without the head being off, is this correct? I'm planning on changing my 6 front lifters and didn't want to take the head off if I didn't need to. Thx!

What do you do when the hydraulic lifters do not sit at the same level, cylinder one lifters are higher and one lifter on cylinder 4. Makes the rocker arm assembly not set well it is on but middle bolt will not turn fully down

The lifters will not set at the same level because they ride on the camshaft lobes. It is a VERY good idea to SLOWLY, and we do mean SLOWLY tighten down the rockers until the valve(s) start opening AND the lifters start to bleed down.
