Thank you for the video, i have on question though. You said i could use it have it on the side when searching say i got a dropdown with colours and if i choose black i will only get black. How do i set this up on "category level"

the video explains this. you do not need to set on a specific category. if you setup correctly and the category has products with "colors" then the system will display on left hand side. hope this makes sense.

you should first check that you associated them to attribute and refreshed cache and reindexed. if still not showing, you will need to check your theme and might have to ask developer to check theme code.

Ok, I'm a little confused on one thing. If I wanted to add an attribute that is different for each product but the product is the same type would I need a different set with that attribute specified? For example, say I'm selling DVD's and I wanted to create an attribute for rating or genre. What is the best approach?

Cameron VanAusdal it really depends on you. If you don't have too many variations for each product you can create a new attribute set. If you do have too many and don't want to create attribute sets you can group them in folders in same attribute set and make them optional

Thanks for your clear tutorial. One thing I don't quite catch: In your demo setup you have on the frontend product detail page a tab "More Information" with some of the attributes listed. Is this something you added via an xml file, or is this default behaviour of Magento 2?

this is default functionality on magento. please note that you can use attribute and setting "show on frontend" to add more to product page.

you will need to click on "product templates" and add new "groups" in order to see new tabs. Please note that the demo that we setup in video is only an example.

attribute set is the same. the magento version that this video was recorded had a different name. you can safely use "attribute set"

Hai Astral web, I have 66 Attributes on my site, But when I create a configurable product I am seeing only 2 attributes(Color, Size) in configurations. Why is that?

@@Astralwebincloves Yeah sure 1. Create Attribute called Laces 2. Go to Products > Add Product(Selecting configurable product) > Configurations > create configuration 3. In the Step 1(Select Attributes), seeing only color, format and size. Laces attribute did not appear
