Great video and I appreciate how through you are. I do have a question - I did everything you said, step by step. I tested it on a "dummy" site for my LIVE site and it will not come across. The discount isn't applied both when I ADD TO CART or when I go through the entire process of checking out. Any troubleshooting tips that might help would be greatly appreciated.

your welcome. best way to troubleshoot - make your rule simpler step by step until you can get it to work and then go one step back at a time to figure out the issue.

How do you apply a coupon code to regular price only? I tried so many variations but it always applies to special priced items as well

this is how magento works. you will need a special extension to override default functionality

Hello Brother, I love the way you explain. It clears almost all my doubts. Could you please tell me. What condition should I apply for maximum amount discount in coupon? I made a coupon for 10% but I want If someone buy for $400 he shouldn't get more than $25 dollar discount.

Hi Rahul. Thanks! Unfortunately, there's no way to setup a maximum discount unless you find an extension to do it OR if you dont have too many products you could set a dollar amount off for each product and setup a separate rule for each to make the same discount as 10% . hope that makes sense.
