The funny thing is many haters complain that completion time for the game is shorter n do not worth the money conpared to typical open world cinematic games, in contrary they totally ignore the “value” on replayability, the joy, the fun, the experience, not to mention utilizing the dualsense to the max…those value can simply blow out any mundane filler sidequests that open world games gets u to grind. I can see myself going back to play astrobot again and again n i dont think would bother to restart any of the open world game cos its exhausting. The “value” is definitely worth it!

This is one of the best games I've ever played in my life. I can't believe how many mechanics they were able to fit in one game. Most game engines are only built for one kind kind of gameplay, This has dozens😅. Every inch of the game has personality and creativity. The soundtrack is a banger. The controller lets you feel every sensation, and the nostalgia is perfectly done. It has more heart and soul than anything Nintendo was put out in years. Definitely a Must Play exceptional game

If you really liked Astro Bot go play Mario Galaxy 1 and 2, especially 2. They're easy to emulate on Dolphin and you can make them look better with HD textures

I think this is an awesome game but i cant deny that most if not all of the game mechanics where taken from mario odyssey. So its not surprising that its a good game.

Interesting maybe it’s because I play a lot of 3d platformers but astrobot felt like an amalgamation of many games I’ve played like Mario and Spyro spy, even down to some of the level designs. It’s a great game for sure and one of the best defenses of the dualsense but takes alot of “inspiration” while not really offering anything new other than the dualsense features. I got the platinum trophy yesterday and I don’t think I’ll play this game again because it’s all spectacle and once you seen everything for the first time the magic is gone. The movement is so limited especially in 2024. Astro has 3 moves jump,hover,punch. No double jump,side jump, long jump, ground pound, you can’t even wall slide or jump off enemies. The powerups are nice and fun to use for sure but that’s only for the first time and some of them are used so many times in other levels while others are used only once like the shrinking power up. Theres alot more and it might feel like I’m ragging on the game but I genuinely do like it and had a great time with it but for a platformer in 2024 it’s lacking in many ways. But it came out at the perfect time with people feeling burnt out and tired of the “fix later pay now” gaming trends. This game in my opinion is not comparable to Mario odyssey. I do like the game but I just don’t think it’s a 10/10 I’d probably say 8/10.

The pinnacle of 2024 gaming for KIDS, yeah. If you're an adult and want something more enjoyable with a rich gameplay and charismatic characters in a dark story with stylish aesthetics, Fallen Aces is a million times more interesting, and for me, it is THE game of the year, even in early access. Also, I'm not into Wukong, but I bet that the millions of people who enjoy it will disagree with you about Astro Bot. And in fact, for many, it is the pinnacle of 2024 gaming.
