I've had the controller since it hit the public, been a beauty ever since never had stick drift *knock on fuckin wood LMAO* and always provided better audio than ANY other controller on the market when matched with an Astro headset, the definition of the audio is on a whole other planet

i have astro c40 tr, i wouldve thought after all the years since release they would of added xbox series x support too. i use it for my pc, and ps5 and it is amazing i bought it when it was released for 200 pounds (uk). only wish i could use it for my series x too bro then would be unbeatable. great video buddy many thanks

Thanks much appreciate it, yeah I wish they would of done more updates but Astro stopped with controllers and only focus on headsets and other stuff they definitely should of done a version 2 for this controller I have even called them and ask but they said no works right now so guess they gave up on it for now which sucks

@@Ryan-em5rd the Astro C40 only works with the PS4, and will not work on PS5 or Fortnite for PS5 it only works on PS4 cause Sony has it blocked and they came out with their own Pro Controller

I think there's a wireless adaptor you can buy to make any controller work with the Xbox. But there's no way Astro can directly support both Xbox and PS, as both companies have their own wireless licenses.

This could have been a great controller but I went through a thumb stick module almost every week so swapped it for a Skuff that has lasted me 3 years with zero issues although it’s looking a little tired now.

@@kevedwards haha 😆 yeah I never owned a scuf controller, maybe I’ll try one one day! I always had Hexgaming or Build it myself using Extremerate parts which is very easy so now I use that or the PS5 Dualsense Edge Pro controller

They are still decent if you use PC or PS4 but if you are playing on PS5 I would recommend the PS5 Dualsense Edge Pro controller instead.

It's a shame that they never made a PS5 version of this controller, as it would have been interesting to see how it would compare with the Nacon R5P.

You can also order new stick modules to fix issues of stick drift, I have 2 of these which I’m so glad as it’s discontinued unfortunately

Yo, i need help! I first started using my controller when i played Fortnite for 4 years ago. Now i want to use it on the new BO6, but i cant find the software anywhere on my pc, and not on the internett to. Is it Logitech G Hub now, that provied the sowtware for the controller? If thats the case, G Hub wont fint my C40 controller for some reason. Hope you could help me out on this one bro :)

@@mozzy6944 that Astro C40 could be out there still not to sure if Astro still signs it, but did you check Astro Website under the controller section, and try that, cause I still have the software but it’s on Mac, so I wouldn’t know about PC, but if you got PS5 Dualsense Edge, then you can download the PlayStation Accessories App and be able to use that controller

Unless you check Amazon or maybe a GameStop to see if they have it new but I highly doubt it cause you have to remember the controller is 5yrs old and Astro stopped making them and stuff especially once the PS5 came out and PlayStation brought out they own Pro Controller - PS5 Dualsense Edge

I gotta question I jus gotta ps5 slim, it has only usb c ports, how can I use my Astro? Will a usb an adapter work and will I get any delay? Also does it still work perfectly for Fortnite on the ps5?

@@Ryan-em5rd well unfortunately your Astro C40 controller will not work on PS5 - that controller was designed for PS4, PC/ Mac - so it will not work on PS5 or Fortnite for PS5 have to use it on PS4 , or you want a controller similar to the Astro C40 - you Have to buy the PS5 Dualsense Edge Pro Controller. Way better

​@CraytonTv I'd say the Victrix Pro BFG is an unofficial successor to this Astro controller, as both are modular and built like tanks. If you don't need any physical customisation, then the Nacon R5P is a fantastic controller. Either option is better than the overpriced garbage that is the Dualsense Edge.

@@CraytonTv yea I went down rabbit hole for 3 hours decided on getting Vader 4 Pro. Nonstick drift and mechanic buttons for that price sounds like a good buy. Will be mainly using it on PC like my c40 so much has changed in the controller world with hallstick and mechanical buttons. Guess c40 had a membrane which is why mine broke.

@@juniorclos1007 try charging it with your console first and let it charge up and connect then connect to the PC , but I would get the PS5 DualSense Edge instead and download the New PlayStation Accessories App on your PC cause with the PS5 DualSense Edge you can now customize, update, play wired or wireless, create profiles with the DualSense Edge on PC. So all the features that controller had for PS5 console on windows now just gotta download the PlayStation Accessories app from PlayStation website, go to PS5 DualSense Edge controller scroll to the bottom it says download for windows pc I made a video on it and release it today on my channel.

@@juniorclos1007 the Astro C40 you can charge to your console, and it may work for the PC , it’s not cause the Astro C40 is a PS4 controller that works on PC/Mac won’t work on PS5
