Astrophotography under New Mexico Dark Skies

This summer I had the opportunity to travel to the mountains of southwest New Mexico to spend a week imaging under Bortle 2 dark skies and brought along some new equipment for the trip.

Nicely done. Gotta love those dark locations. How did you transport your equipment from Illinois? I would not feel comfortable having an airline stow my luggage under the plane.. I'm assuming you had to carry the battery as a carry on. that musta been a conversation starter.. anyways, great images. Clear skies!!
