Did you ever hear the tragedy of Jose Abreu the Cold? I thought not. It’s not a story the League would tell you. It’s a Houston legend. A once-great hitter whose bat fell so cold that ballpark temperatures would drop when he stepped to the plate. Only after parting ways with him did the Astros start winning again.

Spot on ! It is well within reach, this just shows there are peek's and valley's in baseball, the ASTROS are peeking right now. People have to remember last year they were just 1 game of going back to the World Series with a chanced to repeat as World Series CHAMPIONS. I have to admit I been spoiled for about 7 years expecting them to go the World Series every year but that's not going to happen no matter how good they are. Just to be in the playoffs every year with a chance to go to the World Series is all a fan can ask for even if you don't get there.

After all, the Astros are strong.After Abreu was fired, things quickly started to look behind the Mariners. The underlying strength is different, and the consecutive PS record is likely to continue. This made me believe once again that baseball will only become stronger if young players are nurtured.

Who else thinks that the MLB should change the extra inning rules again. Instead of putting a runner on 2nd automatically in extra innings switch it to putting a runner on 1st. Don't ask me why because I just forgot.

The Mets are lucky to be at 500. They have more holes than swiss cheese. They choke in the late innings. They had a nice run but now their weaknesses have been exposed. Weak starting pitching and no clutch hitting late in the game.
