I also hope Dubon is ok. My god what an all out effort catch. I kinda hope we keep him for a couple more years. Yea, I know, he's got zero power and only hitting .250 for the year....but he's also a .270 hitter with RISP and his ability to play every position is beyond invaluable to a team. He's the kind of guy that no one remembers 10 years after a dynasty, but is almost just as important to a team year in and year out as the stars because of his clubhouse affect and impact to give literally anyone a day off and still feel like he can give you something on offense, plus his GG defense.

Exactly, great team player

Preeeach. I couldn't have said it any better. He's been catching hell the last couple months and I don't understand it because nobody should be confusing him with Mookie Betts, the dude is gonna slump every once in a while. But the moment is never too big for him, he plays consistent defense ALL OVER the field while filling holes when guys go down, hell they wouldn't have made the postseason last season if he didn't fill in for Altuve like he did while winning a gold glove. Dubon is never gonna be elite with the bat but he brings so much positive to this ball club in many other ways and his play should get appreciated more. Now Chasssss on the other hand.. we appreciate your great catch to help win that WS but uhhhh it might be time to call it a season and try again next year

Great to see Neris back. I know I'm going to get a lot of hate for this. But it was a solid move getting him, given how disappointing the trade deadline was because we didn't get an all-star ace pitcher or make a splash with a bat or reliever. But Kikuchi is proving himself to be a solid starter, Gamel was a nice little pick up (so far), and so was Neris, who has always been reliable in an Astros uniform. All in all, Brown made some smart moves under the radar. These moves were really the only moves he had.
@imnotcreativeenoughh2 ай бұрын
I don't think you'll get any hate for saying Neris is a good pickup. He's a vet minimum contract, so he's dirt cheap, and I think most fans wanted him to stay anyway
@MonkTlön2 ай бұрын
@@imnotcreativeenoughh I don't think I'll get hate for saying Neris is a good pitcher (of course until he gives up a lead and the fanbase will want his head). I think I'll get hate for complimenting the small moves that Brown made. While I still don't like what we gave up for a rental, Kikuchi has been a solid starter.

His hand has been bothering him since before the allstar break. It's messing up his swing, so he's trying to jump pitches and it's causing him to guess wrong and swing at sliders off the plate. Not to mention.....he's kinda always been like that anyway
