*IMPORTANT PINNED COMMENTS:* Usually these pinned comments have something regarding the video but something came up recently and I think it’s so important that it’s worth bringing up here. Senator Lindsey Graham has reintroduced the EARN IT act, a bill that supposedly helps children though in the end, it’ll lead to huge security and privacy concerns. The bill would incentivize companies to back away from encryption allowing companies to scan every DM, message, etc… If you care about your privacy, there’s a big red flag, but it gets worse. It basically puts rulings into the hands of the states, which can have some horrible implications in places like Florida or Texas (where Governor Greg Abbott just considered gender affirming care “child abuse” through a truly evil bill.) Could be a real danger to LGBTQ+ communities along with many others. And let’s not get into the number of security issues with something like this. This is only a short explanation of the numerous issues with it. I’ve given the most basic of explanations. I’ve left some links below where you can learn a bit about it and where you can make your voice heard. Contact who you can and spread the word about this poorly written bill. The EARN IT Act has been stopped before, we can try and stop it again. That’s all. Take care of yourselves out there. ----- (This doc has a ton of great info) docs.google.com/document/d/1xcjeKqml8QbqiaTfDiciMQ5AnjxoVHh6T6sAMM5D2EU/edit www.americanactionforum.org/insight/unintended-consequences-of-the-earn-it-act/ www.eff.org/deeplinks/2022/02/key-senators-have-voted-anti-encryption-earn-it-act www.noearnitact.org foundation.mozilla.org/en/campaigns/oppose-earn-it-act/ www.schumer.senate.gov/contact/email-chuck www.speaker.gov/contact Also here’s a thread with some resources/aid for trans people in Texas. twitter.com/neon__glow/status/1496589424884285440?s=21

I also made some corrections and clarifications in the video description and below this paragraph. I try to avoid these the best I can but sometimes they get through. So go read these please. They’re important and might clear up some things. --- I'll clarify one point I made in the video, or rather a place of blame. When I refer to Live Nation, I mean both corporate and who they hire to run these events. Contractors, those types. I also forgot to bring this up in the video but the venue is obligated to provide a safe environment for everyone. All the arguments about the attendees miss that. I also do want to correct an error that slipped by. Travis did stop the show at least once. This is something I straight up failed to read about because overall the video isn’t about the concert but it’s true and I feel bad because it prompts it’s own questions about his ability to help. So yeah, here’s a correction to that. On a much smaller scale I also used the wrong image at 19:49. Oops, disregard that. Still illustrates a point but not the specific one I wanted to. There’s also an error with the font and misspelled something at one point but it’s small enough that I didn’t notice it. Sorry, I’m obsessive about that stuff.

From what I got, there seems to be a lack of responsability and a lack of accountability whenever a tragedy at a concert happens. And because of these missing things, there's barely any or no improvement at all to properly address the concerns and problems which would lead to the eventual next tragedy. It also doesn't help that there's so many distractions to take us away from the problem and they keep being reiteration of previous distractions that it seems nothing really changed. I hope the wake up call won't when there will be no survivors.

Anthony fantano stated it perfectly "we can't act as if astroworld isn't the exception and instead a rule"

I’ve been to shows like When we were young, and everything worked out because the venues were huge and multiple stages, like 7 of them

by saying travis didn't stop to help anyone during the show, isn't true. he stopped the show about 3 times to help fans and he even saved someone's life by doing so. i'm not siding with travis, but if you're going to document something plz make sure you're not missing out anything as important as something like this because then it looks like you're just ignorant or biased. i was at astroworld and damn near saw a girl die in front of me, saw people collapsing around me. just absolute distress everywhere for 45 mins straight. i couldn't even listen to travis for 2 months after the concert. people seemed to have forgotten what happened this night. kids, young adults, and grown ups died around thousands of other kids and young adults. it's just something that holds a much greater load than people realize. this needs more attention.

You’re right. I didn’t come across this while researching mostly because my focus was elsewhere rather than the show itself but that is a genuine mistake on my part that I wish I can go back and change. It raises a lot of questions on its own regarding his ability to stop the show but yes, you are correct. I added a correction to the videos description and the second pinned comment that talks about it next to some clarifications I made. Thanks for the comment and I hope you’re doing well.

Whenever something goes wrong people tend to blame it on Satan. The dude gets a bum rap far too often instead of people owning up to their mistakes.

Nothing to do with Satan. More a case of poor organisation, penny pinching on security and medical personnel and some of the crowd acting stupid and irresponsible.

Thank you for this video. I deeply appreciate that you brought up the conservative white agendas influence. Great work.

Did we learn anything from this? I'd say at the very least I learned to only attend concerts in "safer" surroundings. Like, where there are designated seats drilled into the floor that will control crowd movement.

These freaking knuckleheads who think the show is some devil stuff instead of a example of poor safety practices is just embarrassing. cant believe how stupid conspiracy theorist can be sometimes in their attempts to be “smarter” than anyone else. also as a fan of travis I just find this event so disappointing. I don’t know how’s he’s gonna comeback. R.I.P ALL THE VICTIMS.
