@@San_d_alphone yes, it’s anime-only. In the LN it’s very comparable to older sister/younger brother, and not in an incestuous way. That, plus the mutual respect - Kirito saved Alice, and Alice has been taking care of him for months. In the LN, Alice simply doesn’t know who Asuna is and feels compelled to protect him from all threats - even though Asuna and Alice do become friendly rivals of a sort.

I really love the girls meeting and talk over the night, it's so relaxing from the action before. And here comes the real WAR between two countries, but in a "game", i still remember how that plot twist shocked me. One of the most kickass arcs in anime, for me. I was honestly straight up overwhelmed watching it. I was watching the dub, and when I caught up, I only had to wait for the last 3 dubbed episodes to air. Getting to sit and soak it all in was….a lot.

Fun fact: In the novel it says that Kirito and Asuna Slap together but they didn't show this in the Anime , They were not willing to show how deep their relationship was but there are willing to show assault 3 times against the female characters, This caused a lot of criticism on the fans. Even the creator was called out for this.

He said spend the night together. That was when they did it but they didn't show it in the anime, not to mention all those attacks on the women did I mention earlier.

I have to say when I finally saw the scene where Asuna gets reunited with kirito; as it turns out to me, it wasn’t good enough as we thought it would be because I feel like in his egoless state I feel like there’s something more than being apart from the woman he loves and maybe even more than Eugeo death .

Definitely much more, but Eugeo’s death is one of the major impacts that caused him to be this way. The entire event of the battle against the Pontifex was a major reason.

@@furiousdestroyah9999It always seemed to me that Eugeo’s sacrifice was a big part of it, but what broke him during that surge was his self-depreciation due to his worries of failing those he cares about. Maybe, if Eugeo had died nights or weeks before, it may not have been enough of a push, but with that just having happened, and his years in the Underworld, where he thought about his being away from Asuna, Sugoha, Sinon, and his other friends and family, mixed with his IRL fears and doubts about being a murderer and a failure in finding a life path, and then getting taken down by Laughing Coffin, his greatest enemies before descending into the Underworld, etc. Little buddy had a lot on his plate by the time his fluctlight got blasted.

Every time….that second episode is THE example that makes me scream “How doe they not get proficient English speakers to handle those roles!?!??!?!” Lots of folks in Japan speak better English that that! Fun fact In the original LN the scene where Asuna fighting Alice, the reason Asuna are able to keep up with Alice (despite they have so much gap in terms of fighting experience and sword skill) is because of Asuna's god tier equipment, she would've lose instantly if she wasn't using a god account

Well, I mean, look at Alice - she herself is equipped with the highest priority level divine object weapon there is - the Osthmanthus Blade. If you remember Alice’s battle with Kirito and Eugeo in the Cathedral, they were equipped with divine object weapons themselves (the Night Sky Blade and the Blue Rose Sword, respectively) and she was smacking them around as if she were Ken Griffey Jr launching home runs. Sure, her sword arts and divine arts are exceptional, but very few things are defeating her when she’s wielding the Osthmanthus Blade.

The war of this season is f**king bloody. The anime version reduced the violence level of the fights, but still bloody. In the novel version, things get worse, much worse for Asuna and her friends

There are certain times when I really wish anime producers would cast native English-speaking VAs for these types of scenes instead of trying to fake it with Japanese VAs - especially when Aniplex has access to these English VAs. Because honestly, that was some really cringeworthy scenes they did with the American gamers.

I have an anime recommandation for you: Ragna Crimson. It's pretty damn good. The genre are revange, fantasy and (kind of ?) time travel. It's generic in some aspects but brings it's own weight too and the fight scenes are not too shabby. It has good sound effects too (not as good as SAO or fate, but still good)

English dub exist, I wonder why they don't just slap the english dub in the episode for those foreigner scene. Sure English dub release later on but there's blu-ray version where they could done that.
