CPU temps are high because of overclock out of the box To lower temps to around 75 celsius, simply change setting from extreme to standard (Asus software)

The Aorus X7 V6 seems much cooler in those Gaming Benchmarks, with higher resolution(1440p), but "only" a GTX 1070. Still enough FPS for serious gaming. Looks like the GTX 1080 of the Asus leads to more heat(because of higher FPS ?), or Aorus/Gigabyte has just the better cooling. I will buy me an Aorus.

ChrisMK72 there is the x7 dt that has a 1080

I think both brands and models you mentioned are really sticking in these recent release. Really wise choices, i would also add to that list maybe the Msi and razor blade pro.

I bought ROG G701VI XB78K , recently, it doesn't show hard drive info, MODEL, TYPE, COMPANY NAME etc... So not sure if it is NVME SSD. Can you tell how to find the SSD information. Or check what your system has listed under hard drive.?

back to g750, it had the best cooling on gaming laptop....now....what happened asus!?
@YOUNG3VITY8 жыл бұрын
The G751JY was also a beast at cooling.
@4204020338 жыл бұрын
Become90ForLife yeah better than this G701 but still not comparable with G750. (In term of copper volume, g751 is 98cm^3 vs 166cm^3 of g750)...
@YOUNG3VITY8 жыл бұрын
Indeed the G750 had the best cooling
@K1_Holzken708 жыл бұрын
Yukang Shen the g701vi comes overclocked by default like the g752vs oc edition. I would imagine if they put the laptop in standard mode instead of the default extreme mode, the temperatures would be a lot better
@xoticpc8 жыл бұрын
Those temps were while under the benchmark tests in those games not while just gaming normally to clarify.

please, don't purchase this, I have this laptop, G701VI Intel® Skylake i7-6820HK 64gb ram 2400 mhz, 1 tb ssd raid 0, nvidia gtx1080 8gb, it's very hot, the fan sound is very loud, I try to run rise of Tom rider on "extreme" 60-65 fps on ultra settings Vs. 50-55pfs on my old G751Jy same settings, my old G751; Intel i74720hq 4 tb ssd Samsung 850 pro raid 0, 24gb ram 1600 mhz, nvidia gtx980 4 gb another plus, look the keyboard backlight, its bullshit, the keyboard is very good, but no the backlight, the difference: the price 2000 dls more, my recommendation; don't purchase this laptop

Muhamad Zulkifli That was my experience with this laptop, I've had 5 Rog models but none so expensive and so poorly built!
@astaproxima40748 жыл бұрын
Patrick expensive? my ass .. this same model is 2800k in amazon and besides it's worth the penny .. gtx 1080 and gsync ips 120hz display .. what you expect more in a 2.5 k laptop
@imacomputer1017 жыл бұрын
for 2.5k I would expect it to not overheat and for it to not be so loud for the size.
