I saw the 960 problem coming from a mile away...this time. I have made the same mistake in the past with the jump from the 500 to 600 generation. That being said, Lenovo completely missed the boat in the 900 generation. Their Y900 Ideapad was supposed to come out early to mid 2016, way before the 1000 generation came out. But they still haven't launched it...and now it's completely behind the curve. Good review, good channel. Liked and subscribed!

Should I buy Asus ROG G752 VS OC gtx 1070 edition or should I go for MSI GT73VR 120hz non gsync one? Or should I ait for price drop of Asus G701 VI gtx 1080 version which has 120 Hz refresh rate? I also like the Asus ROG GL502VS with gtx 1070 but 60 Hz. A little confusion here. It would be great if I find authentic reply from you. Thanks.

I'm typing this on the 752. It's an absolute beast. If you want to get it, I highly recommend it. It can do absolutely everything you'd want or need it to do. With what I run, I never really drop below 60 fps; that is until you reach GTA 5 and other taxing games. This is with G-Sync enabled. On the other hand, if you don't have G-Sync enabled then it gets much higher framerates. Minecraft got up to 300fps... yeah I still play it don't judge me... lol anyway I'd go with this one all the way if you want to save money and bulk. The 1080 is just a bit better than the 1070, but if you overclock the 1070 like I did then you get the power of a 1080. You get more RAM in the Asus than you do in the MSI. And to address the G701, it's not going to drop to $2100 for a while. So, with thorough research, I got the G752. Although this is absolutely your choice.

I have the g752vs also but i have a problem and maybe you know something of it...in gaming center at cpu frequency i'm showing every time *_-2700_* .No matter what i do it still shows -2700mhz and no color on the cpu frequency bar unlike the memory frequency below it showing in red...Do you have any suggestions to what is the cause?...BTW...i did stress the cpu while the gaming center was on...in the task manager,aida and cpu-z the cpu was going up but not in the gaming center...

I bought the ASUS ROG G752VS-GC054T model, a bit cheaper with the DVD burner combo and 32GB ram. But the 1070 is the reason i bought it, and i love it. it is a absolute beast! I love. Same as you, my only gripe is the speakers, they are underpowered, but you can use bluetooth speakers or a good pair of headphones. A great laptop.

For my household dynamic a gaming laptop in the "desktop replacement" category is my best fit. Since you can't upgrade the CPU or GPU I like to get as much future proofing as I can out of them. I purchased the same model as the video creator did and I've had it for nearly 4 years, might actually be 4 I don't quite remember. I can still play all the games I play to their max settings. I play World of Warships, Warthunder, the IL-2 series and the Tomcat in DCS. I recently picked up an oculus rift CV-1. A fun fact is this laptop was the first Oculus certified as fully compatible. The Rift works awesome and the touch controllers make games like VTOL VR something not to be a missed for fans of flight games. Now it was down for about a year and a half due to a windows issue, BSOD. I'm a single dad and I just didn't have the time or patience at that time to fix it. Which I did recently which is why I can right this review, I need to spend a bit more time on it though to fix everything and successfully download the year and a half worth of updates. Oh and it's tanky...... Yes I mean tanky in toughness, I can't count how many times mine has taken 3 foot falls to the floor for a multitude of reasons and force and has no effect on it. This will probably be just fine for a few more years also. These are going used for $1500.00 and under so it could still be a viable option under certain circumstances.

I have a 2011 iMac , running bootcamped Windows 7 (2560x1440p screen, has an i7-2600, AMD 2gbvcard, 32gb 1333ram) and have just purchased one of these Asus RoG laptops for $2000CAD (was -$1200 off on sale, also it only has 16gb ram but can be upgraded to 64gb). I love my mac but I don't want to kill it so I hope this Asus RoG does as good as this video states. I am very excited to finally have another computer!

Very detailed and informative. After building my own Frankensteins and burning out a few from a competitor, my ASUS g752vs OC Ed with 64GB of RAM and 512SSD PCIE sans the 1TB HHD will be delivered in a couple of days. I have 512ssd I will install to replace the 1TB HHD. Did not care about the lack of RBG in the keyboard I have a Logitech 910 mechanical keyboard for that and a LogitechG502 mouse. Speakers not an issue either. Thanks for a great review!

It would be a better laptop to consider if it had a lower price ranged simply because other gaming laptops cover those tiny flaws it carries. Having a subparts cam, touchpad and led light color controls should be none existing on such a new high spec models with a hefty price range.

They just refreshed their lineup. There won't be any newer gaming models. Check out the refreshed ROG GL502 or ROG GL702 as other options they both use the 10-series GPU and are thinner, lighter and a bit cheaper.

I found this laptop on a website and that laptop have a screen refresh rate of 120hz! I'd love to have that laptop! But for now my nearly one year old hp pavilion gaming laptop with a gtx 950m which I overclocked will have to do. It gets an average around 50-60fps in most games, obviously minecraft gets a lot higher, and games like just cause 3 and battlefiled 1 gets around 45fps average.

Wow, that laptop makes my desktop weep in envy :( lol but that price tag... I can't see any need to spend that amount on a laptop when you can just build a desktop and get yourself a modest laptop for the same budget or less. Yeah I know, it's not AS portable, but come on.... Unless you're gaming on a bus or plane, you can make yourself a micro ATX rig to travel with for LANs or editing on the go. Make sure its placed in a cool place, away from any heat sources and sunlight, also get yourself a fan, simple as that, I have a fan and it reduces temp for about 10C average

The GL702 runs a lot hotter since it's thinner and it only has a 1060, while this has a 1070. You're definitely getting better performance with the G752 but the GL702 is much more portable.
