I'd buy a glossy version of the PG27AQDP 480 Hz in a heartbeat. Let's hope other manufacturers make a gorilla glass version of it.

I’m torn on If I should get this (the XG27AQDMG), since I already have the odyssey g7 27 inch (1440p 240hz VA) which is pretty much the same specs, and I wouldn’t have the money for the 32 inch 4k OLEDs, so is the jump to OLED justified for getting this monitor?
@DisplayReality6 ай бұрын
I think its a nice jump. The Odyssey G7 8 zones 27" to this Glossy AQDMG would be a nice treat in HDR. Even SDR with infinite contrast of oled can be seen. Unless you really wanted a 32" this 27" asus is a nice upgrade. Ill be trying to get one in for review and vs to the odyssey G7 32" tho..

What about the LG 27GS95QE? I bought it because I wanted a matte finish, but I thought it was a new panel. Does it use the same panel as the GR version with some updates as we see here?
@pembertj6 ай бұрын
This uses the same panel as the 27GS95QE
@DisplayReality6 ай бұрын
The GS95QE is an improved panel. While LG themselves does say MLA+ (200nits to 275nits is a nice improvement) The panel is based on the GR. The real New panel is on the 32GS95UE and this new 27GS95xx. To me the new pixel arrangement does not affect me as I just game on these so I dont need or see that text difference.

@@patrikmediaGlossy 1440p 480hz W-OLED panel isn't on LG Display's roadmap unfortunately. You have no proof and as much as I hate to believe that, but I think you are right about the 3rd gen and the text. no way they will sell a new tech for $700. the website says "CLEAR PIXEL EDGE ALGORITHM" no pixel layout, every single ALGORITHM makes the monitor worse. Any idea if this is going to have a fan or passive cooling? I'm personally going to wait for the 4k 27", I don't have faith in these companies to fix the text clarity.
@DisplayReality6 ай бұрын
Passive heatsink cooling according to the info picture on the website. We will know more in a couple days. This $699 seems like they are using the old AQDM panel just with Glossy to make a quick buck. Id love to be wrong tho.. also, I have just seen the LG 27GS95QE at $699 on sale so lets see..

4K 240Hz OLED is already endgame, if you still can't pop some heads with this motion and distance clarity, that's your problem, not the monitor itself 😂
