i personally think the rem8 is the clear winner it can run cod mobile at 90 but its not unlocked for rem8 it is for rog because they sponsored cod championchip the performance is going to be basically identical in all titals because they have the same cpu and gpu and teh fact is the rem8 has a better design in my op and it is priced way more reasonably the built in fan can actually acheive the same results you got with the rog if you have the correct settings applied the rog for me really has no leg too stand on maybe the audio but its design and big bezzles are a real turn off both phones will perform almost identically the difference is one of them isnt called rog and doesnt cost as much its just hard too justify buying the rog 7 when it needs the external cooler to acheive what the rem8 can without one both good choices but in my op the rem 8 is clearly the winner but either way you cant go wrong they will both get the job done no matter what game your playing on them

Only thing they need to upgrade for ROG to fit it's price range is to have a better camera sensor and change macro lens to telephoto. Lastly, have an SD card slot. And it'll be the perfect phone for gamers mostly and also for media content creators.

I got the Red Magic 8 Pro on pre-order and paired with a Gamesir X2 Pro makes it an unbeatable combo. The Asus with the offset USB connector limits it to its own branded controller which hasn't been updated to the contours of the newer phone and prevents it from properly fitting in the device.

here in my country, the ROG 7 16gb 512gb is almost the same price as the Void /titanium 16gb 512gb RM8 Pro, only around up to 40usd difference. so i prefer the ROG7 non ultimate. Both are good phones, but the side usb for me is important for a gaming phone.

one thing to take into consideration that has caused me to return my rog phone 7 ultimate - controller support - the only switch-style controller you can get is the rog kunai for rog phone 6 which doesnt actually fit that well because of some interference near the camera. the razer kishi doesn't fit because of the non-standard usb port placement. im waiting for my redmagic 8s pro to show up and then its return city for the rog phone.

I'm going Redmagic 8 Pro. The design is fresher and I actually prefer the external speakers on it as well. The ROG has bass but it sounds muted and a little muddy to my ears. The overall aesthetic is tighter and the gaming capabilities are top notch. I also own it sooooo I might be a little biased😋

Asus on looks good on the reviews with those chunky trash gimmick cooler but in real world phone is garbage and it's the same built boring design over and over. U can get 2 RM 8 for that Rog price, better value, probably performance, there's a hack mode on RM called Diablo where u can lock the chipset at the highest clockspeed and stays in there and it doesn't go down. Rog phone can't even do that with the xmode.

The little extra fps and performance on the rog sounds great, but with that price, it definitely makes it not seem worth it, I'll have to check out the red magic 8s pro, to see if any improvements are made. If the rog was cheaper, that would definitely be my phone choice, but red magic still holds up and practically identical except in camera, the front facing looks horrible, but then again it is inside the screen. So yea basically ama wait and see what the rm 8s pro has, and how it compares between the pro, and the rog

Wish you would've also shown the temp with the Redmagic turbo cooler which brings the temp down further than the aero cooler and doesn't get in the way of holding it while playing 4 finger claw. With the Redmagic 8 pro usually going for $650 on Amazon and the turbo cooler for $50 the price just really is hard to justify on the Rog for smoother software and an extra 30fps in Codm which are the only 2 things I really wish the RM8 had

I think for me I might just get a RM ovet Asus. I like Asus from the PC world, but for a phone I'd be carrying with me everyday as a trucker I feel it has too many accessories. Aside from the charger and headphones, the only other accessories I'd want/use would be a controller kinda like the Razer Kishi, or what Asus offers. If Asus could incorporate the fan into the phone like RM, hand's down I'd go for that. That big ole fan ploped on the back seems like it would be kinda clunky. My only other option that id have to wait for still, is the Sony Xperia Pro 2, whenever it comes out. Maybe not a gaming phone, but overall seems like a way better daily driver, amd better features than something like a Samsung. Only other issue is I'm with Verizon here in the US, and I don't think they offer any of the phone brands mentioned.. service could be spoty, guess I'd have to experiment a bit.

I like that you are getting all the essential things a device needs when purchasing compared to other big brands like Samsung and Apple I am happy to see that red magic didn't follow in their footsteps I was their customer until I have to pay more for less now I am switching over to Red magic because they are still including a charger they have an amazing design and the red magic 8s has pro has impressive performance for a gamer if red magic keeps this up I will know longer be going back to Apple or Samsung or any other brand for that matter.

From a performance perspective the phone absolutely flies, very nice to use. But, as I said, I don't use it as a phone for me it's just for games.

Overall, I'd say Red magic 8 pro. The biggest selling point of the phone is the display. While I understand the bezels allow for more variation on how the phone is held, better camra, and undisturbed ish display, the full basically bezelless front screen of the RM8 is almost too perfect to pass up. Spec wise both are same and the RM8 also has a separate cooler so it could be just as if not cooler when in use compared to the Asus rog 7. But really, its the display. The display is just perfect. No notch, no hole punch, nothing.

I would definitely go for the rog 7u once i eventually upgrade my phone. The 165hz may be over kill but for somethings like simpler games and gd, and it would be extremely smooth, and the phone preforms very well for the more popular games, although the fps may be restricted in some. I know that the fan is overkill, but it would prob be extremely nice for the back buttons and stand, and nice for using it as a speaker with the lights and subwoofer. The rm8 looks nice too, but I don't like the back design and the lack of back triggers for convince would be a bit annoying for me, and without the fan rog 7 runs well enough for most things that the rm8 runs well on. Edit: also the fact that the rog has 50% better single core preformance is good for most games that run utilizing only one core.

I would prefer Red Magic. Red Magic performs more stable when no external cooler is attached. In addition, the bezel-less screen is just so nice. I think the most important thing is pricing. You get the entire needed package with Red Magic for about 800USD with the maxed out version... Asus is just too overpriced in my opinion.

It's going to be Red Magic for me. We are missing a few things here. 1. Red Magic has a built in Desktop mode that goes up to 4k 2. It also allows you the ability to play different games on the phone and in Desktop mode 3. The fan is already built in and if it was going to be comparisons of the cooler attachments...it wouldn't be fair because RM would clearly win that Other than that cameras are not a major thing for me. Both devices will serve well for any of us...but RM got the edge on look and so many in game features.

No, look deeper, do more research. The cooling on rm 8 is superior allowing for more maxed out seeing cause it's less likely to throttle

I'm gonna say redmagic wins it for me the fact it has that futuristic design look to it as well as staying that cool on super demanding games while ASUS needs a cooler attached to the phone to reach those temps and also I don't buy any phone for the camera as I don't really take pictures I game on my phone and will be getting the red magic 8 pro

If you want to have a premium gameplay experience in COD Mobile, then I will say, go for RM 8S pro as the redmagic is on collab with activision, through tencent/timi. which means more advantage on CODM.

I just recently bought the RM 8 pro,I love the square borderless design very much and the under display camera is actually a nice touch although the camera quality isnt really that great (well it was made for gaming anyway so a good camera prolly gonna be useless💀). The cooling fan is pretty good, not too noisy even when playing some hard to run games or doing emulation.

Thanks for this video so early, this comparison is what I wanted to see as soon as ROG7 came out. Should have mention that Red Magic also has a Cooler that sells separately (and for the price of the phone, you can purchase it and still will be much less than the ROG7)

Only problem I have with this video is used the external cooler for the ROG but didn't use the RedMagic 8s external cooler.

@@furioustester4056 I don't see how that's relevant. If anything it makes the ROG worse because you can't use it without a bulky cooler on the back for anything graphic intensive. Also he shows off frozen mode which requires external power for the cooler. So not being portable doesn't really matter. If you want a fair comparison then you need to show off both coolers and i bet the RM8 beats it in temps with the turbo cooler.

Bro godd compareson video but it is not a rog 7 it is a rog 7 ultimate edition tho and the price go on and on entry level for more than 1200 bucks as i know or not?so it make sense for red magic beter for entry level 650 buks!
