I saw some people claiming their machine with very little load and single gfx card became unstable with just the 8 pin connected (it was different brand mobo). Hey bro, I've been ATTEMPTING to build a new AMD pc and it hasn't gone great so far.. I got an MSI MPG X570 Gaming Edge Wi-Fi mobo, and I don't think it was a very reliable product due to a CPU issue I was having. I paired it with a Ryzen 3900xt and my mobo would show me a CPU debug light (I troubleshooted anything and everything that couldve been the cause of it happening, but the system just would not POST or boot. I thought it might be the CPU that i had, so I ordered a replacement, and it turns out when I tried the pc again with the new cpu, that the CPU was not the problem, as the same exact thing happened. All the fans were going with RGB on and working, yet nothing happening, just the annoying problem of the CPU light on the EZ Debug LED still on. I have ordered THIS Asus mobo that I will be testing tomorrow, so I really hope that the problem was that I had a dead mobo, so I dont have to continue troubleshooting. The next AND LAST thing would be the power supply, but I doubt that it could be that, since I AM getting some power to the board.. If it happens with this motherboard, I'm honestly switching back to intel, because it's not worth my time anymore. This is the 2nd ARGB PC I've built. The first one was a PC I built for my friend with the components that he bought, with him present. It was an Intel i7 build, and it ran perfectly on the first try. I did NOTHING different or stupid with my own AMD build and now I'm having trouble with my cpu or board?? I can't deal with this crap because whatever is going on with it, I really don't feel like it's anything that I have done wrong when building the PC.
