Bought the AORUS board yesterday for $198 Aussie, down from $219 Aussie. Looked at the Strix board, but wasn't going to pay $269 Aussie for it. I'm replacing my B450 AORUS ELITE non WiFi board, with plans to replace my R5 3600 with the R7 5800x it R9 5900x in the not too distant future. How have you found this AORUS board?

same here,bought the Aorus at 199 canadian since Rog was 279 canadian at that time. All stable with 5600 and 3080 and cheapo inwon rgb fans.Always been an asus user but this time $80 si a big price diff.

As owner of Gigabyte MB I can say about controller. It's not Intel AX200, it's Mediatek RZ608 (at least it's what 3dpchip says)

yes you can, but the second M.2 slots will cut off the speed of your NVME into PCIE3.0 speed. But it will work normally. Set the bios to run boot and OS on the first M.2 slots to feel the real PCIE GEN4 speed.

The Asus B550-F Gaming WiFi II is the updated version. It comes with an RZ608 Wi-Fi 6e and BT 5.2 (which is now BT 5.3 in Windows 11). Plus the Asus boards have the 8+4 CPU pins for real stable power delivery on CPUs like the 5900x/5950x, especially when you are running PBO. I have my 5900x hitting 220 watts max with no issues. It got updated VRMs and slightly better heatsinks. The board is rock solid. It handles RAM great. I have fully tweaked 2x16GB DDR4 3600 C16 dual rank RAM @ 3666 w/ 1833 IF (1:1). Dual rank RAM is hard to overclock so I just gave it a little boost and decided to bring all the subtimings down to where they need to be. No regrets. It's an awesome board. I have all 6x S-ATA ports in use, a 2TB Samsung 970 Evo Plus, an extra PCI-e x1 WiFi card (Asus PCE-AC56) and another PCI-e x1 USB 3 card because I have so many USB peripherals... like a flight stick, throttle, trackir, USB-C for my phone, mouse and keyboard, charger for my watch, USB thumb drives, etc. Got a Fuma 2 Rev B on my CPU with 3x fans and 5x 140mm case fans. The VRM set up is great. Load Line Calibration at Level 1 is all you need for stable voltage on an OC'd 5900x pushing over 200 watts (DIGI+). I've always preferred Asus motherboards. MSI makes good boards, too. Gigabyte, on the other hand, have always been failures in my experience. They are made with cheap parts that don't last.
