Don't know why laptop manufacturers don't put removeable covers over where the fans are for easy access to clean them

Normally they tape the screen connector in place.

On the log-in screen the battery icon has a red 'X'. I would have thought that that indicates a more serious battery problem than an incorrect charger!

The red X is very low charge. He does not have the original Power Adapter which is higher amps than his work bench power supply. So he cannot charge it enough.

@@TheHalo14aus A red 'X' usually means 'Battery not detected' - I would expect a yellow exclamation mark for a charger problem. Anyhow, neither is related to the problem that was supposed to be repaired...

Hi Sorin.. good Job even me to this morning have same issue with a Acer E5-575... but what you think about putting a little drop of Hot Glue on the LVDS connector to be more sure it don't loose agan connection even if they but factory tape?.... i put it on the Acer... bye Francesco Timpano from Florence Italy
