I just Brought one, in HRD mode, windows normal SDR image will wash out, but HDR video will better.... you have to choose....

may I ask why the fps of the gaming part reaches 180 while the spec is only 160fps? Is it really 180fps during the game? I'm not familiar with computers so I'm not sure if it's a dumb question or not.

Ok so without a thunderbolt port or some sort of Nvidea link port on your gpu or via a thunderbolt pcie card or a motherboard that supports a DP Input instead of output to reroute the GPU display through the motherboard so it will come through the USB-C cable of the monitor it's just not possible off the bat natively they really should make that information more readily available basically when you connect your USB-C monitor to the USB-C Display ports on your motherboard it only connects it to your integrated graphics on your cpu... not your dedicated graphics card! so what I wanna know is why USB-C ports are not standard on GPU's yet is there a limitation or downside? also a USC-C to DP adapter with a conversion wouldn't work cause the signal is the reverse of what it needs to be... this is all i've read I was looking forward to moving to USB-C I guess i'm just gonna have to stick to DP that comes with till theres a better way having a hub or a thunderbolt pcie card would just defeat the point of reducing clutter by having the one USB-C two ended between my gpu and monitor! it's my fault for not researching it before the purchase instead of afterwards but tbh it wouldn't of changed my decision i'm using an acer 28" 4k 60Hz freesync monitor from 2018 so I don't have g-sync support I got a ROG STrix 4070ti OC editon and I may be getting ROG Strix 5070Ti OC or if i'm lucky an Astral 5090 and it's prob gonna be 2-3 yrs before I do away with monitors and focus on virtual monitors in VR so i'm not gonna deal with horrible and I mean down right abismal screen tearing the likes of which you've never seen that cleaves trees asunder like a ninja in anime every time I turn my camera (it hit the 3rd person zone in Marvel's Midnight Suns the worst and that's one of the slower paced camera games) my point being regardless I would of bought this monitor it's the best 4k monitor deal with g-sync i've seen since this old one in 2018 that isn't £600 I got mine for £339.99 was £400+ bought it on the ASUS uk store directly and well I'm gonna be glad if i'm gonna game at 4k I need something with g-sync cause this old monitor i'm using now is terribly incompatible with rtx 40 series regardless if G-Sync is on or off the tearing is horrible it just ain't on that special g-sync list cause it came out before that was a thing it did only cost me like £189.99 though which isn't bad for a 4k gaming monitor due to the climate of post covid monitors have been expensive glad to see we are getting more smaller budget 4k options that are lower than £500 and of course while it doesn't outperform many of it's equals it's nothing special it's nothing terrible it may not stand out but I don't care besides the rest of my build ROG why wouldn't I get a ROG monitor if it's just within reasonable range it's gonna take me a yr to save for everything else to upgrade my pc anyways might as well have a decent rog monitor before I start saving for 2 sticks of DDR5 Cl30 6000mhz Trident Z-5, 50series GPU, Ryz 9 9900X3D cpu and a x870E Hero mb I got a busy year of pc building not just for me but for others as well so it would be nice that when I finally get all this high end hardware that I have a beautiful 4K monitor like this that is higher than 60HZ and actually takes advantage of the rest of the hardware that my current build and that future build has to offer... I will hopefully be able to see a pin drop from 20 meters away with that kind of clarity besides my current one is a TN panel and I heard IPS was better sure it's not oled but nothings perfect! The way I see it is the XG27UCS does the job with only a compromise of a couple of mm screen size difference (my 28 inch monitor is older so the frame is thick essentially making it just a few mm screen size difference a cm at most so that's neglible) I do have a question though I didn't see anything stating about eye care on this whether it protects eyes from the blues or not I understand asus incorporates the tech into all their high end monitors but I didn't see anything about it on this monitors page does it have any kind of blue screen filter? Note: glad to here the info about resolve as I do edit videos for my alt channel too and accurate color is important as i've had issues in the past with my current one)

I have this monitor and i have 1 problem with when i play on xbox most games can do 4k 60 fps on xbox but when i play games like fortnite or sea of thieves locked on 60 fps it really bad 30 fps and another problem is when i quit game to xbox lobby it least like 15 secs the monitor turns black and then is everything ok i have bad feeling that theese things shouldnt happen on monitor like this someone plaease help mee

Here is some info to tide you over until then. Aside from the 320Hz mode, the XG27UCG has the new AU Optronics panel with visibly sharper image than the budget BOE panel on the XG27UCS. However, the updated XG27UCG chassis with RGB on the ROG logo and external power brick no longer clips onto the monitor stand as the XG27UCS's does. VESA-mounting the XG27UCG requires you to remove two cover plates and four screws to remove the monitor stand. However, the XG27UCG is a bit lighter once you remove the monitor stand. I suspect that Asus may be re-using the same Variable OD curves on the XG27UCG that is on the XG27UCS despite the new panel having different response characteristics. Set Variable OD to 11-12 on the XG27UCG instead of the default 10 for XG27UCS. The panel also has very different response characteristics in 320Hz mode and 160Hz mode. Here again I suspect Asus is re-using the same Variable OD curves, so they may be under-tuned for 320Hz mode as you can turn it all the way up to 19-20 without visible inverse ghosting. Unfortunately, the Variable OD setting isn't saved per mode, so you have to change Variable OD setting manually after toggling modes for optimum usage. Maybe Asus can fix that in a firmware update (some updated more aggressive Variable OD curves for 320Hz mode may be nice, too).
