Sir, asynchronous counter are also called ripple counter because the MSB has to wait for all the bits (or FF) prior to it to be updated. But Sir, in this design method, the MSB changes depending on the instantaneous value of bit(s) prior to it(LSBs w.r.t. the MSB). As such, this counter seems to be behaving like a synchronous counter where also the output of all flip-flops update simultaneously with the positive edge of the clock. Kindly explain where I am going wrong in thinking about this! Thank you. 🙏
