Amazing. Better character development and exposition that I've seen in many films with bigger budgets,a true art piece. For those complaining of camera work and story board, true pieces of art are alla prima...no study sketches or much Pre study needed...just art for arts sake. See how I didn't criticise,but educated you instead?

This film is on par with Kirk Douglas performance in Lust for Life. One of the best if not thee best depictions of Vincent van Gogh by Willem DaFoe. Its a very moving film, which at times is hard to watch, but in a good way. I love some of the attention to detail in the film and how Willem really got into Vincents character.
