If you plan on working on multiple length ATA bows with the EZ Green; I recommend putting the wheel on it. It saves SO MUCH time... I've put a drill on one before to go from 30"-40" ATA bows

Good video, Allie. I also nave an at-home bow shop. I have an LCA Ultimate EZ press (because I have a couple of crossbows), the LCA draw board you have, and a Baker bow vise. I have two saw horses that I lay a wide board across, clamp the board down and that becomes my work bench. When I'm done, I remove the board, fold up the saw horses and set them aside. My arrow saw is the one made by T-Bird. I can bolt the Baker vise to the saw horse board. I also lay the arrow saw on the saw horse board when I cut arrows. I have some recurve bows and longbows, but I can't operate a stringer because I'm an above the knee amputee and work from a wheel chair. So, I bought a Harbor Freight WORM gear winch and use that to string/unstring my traditional bows. I have eye bolts screwed into the floor of my shed which hold down the tips of my trad bows. The worm gear winch is attached above, to the LCA press. The cable end draws up on the bow's handle, while the bow tips are held down, and I'm able to easily string/unstring my bows. Works like a charm and keeps the bows limbs from flexing. Bobby

Allie I have the same arrow saw. I don't have it bolted down to my work bench. But for you. you could uses it on top of your cooler with a blanket on it. It really doesn't vibrate a lot. and having a blanket on your cooler will help. You might want to rig a vacuum up to suck up the carbon dust too. But an easy thing to do too.

I fabricated my own arrow saw and my own bow vise...saved a ton of cash !! Of course, I own 12 compound bows, soooo !! And I built my own bench(s) to go with them (if you're a serious archer ((and I are!)), you just gotta have more than one!!). Great job on the build !!!

Allie, great video! I like your equipment description and selection for an at-home shop. Another piece of equipment that I have is a do-it-yourself paper tuner made out of PVC. There are plans available on the internet and they are very easy and inexpensive to make. Might be a good project for you and Nick(?) to do together. You can buy tuners on-line for $150 but I built mine for about $30 and it works great!

Love your enthusiasm and the fact you are an excellent role model, not just for women hunters, but younger hunters as well. Anyhow...just "suggestion". I think you would be better served by having a small workbench (KZbin and Google are your friend) and a bench mounted bow vise. Once you start to work on your bow, you're gonna need a place to set your tools, lighter, Dloop pliers, serving spool, hex wrenches, arrow saw, etc. Just makes things a little easier. BTW, cutting carbon arrows, ya might wanna vent the dust. Just a thought... keep up the good work!

I see you received your press and bow vice. I had the same issue with mounting my Last Chance. The press is a bench mounting model. It has three different holes for raising the press higher. They are two inches apart. I solved my wobbly problem by drilling a second hole two inches above the first one and using the existing holes in the bench mounting part. I drilled the holes out to 5/16 of inch and bought some sturdier bolts with fender washers; 4 bolts instead of two. This solved the problem without crushing the square tubing. It limits adjustability though to two inches instead of the four but I didn't want it higher anyhow. On the October Mt. vice, I couldn't see paying that much for a stand either. I'm am fortunate to have a MIG welder and metal tools . I bought the metal and I'm making my own stand. I think others could easily do the same. Last, I bought the wide limb mount from October Mt. I wish I had bought the vice with it standard to save money. Hope this helps someone.

Great video. Great equipment. You probably could have gotten a toolbox with a wood top and mounted everything to that for the cost of all the stands. Then you would storage and a work surface. But this is an old video, maybe you have that by now. Keep it up. Your content is fun and informative.

Doing the same, arrow saw is next on the list. I'll be saving on the stands and either getting a Husky adjustable desk or small toolbox. I had a cheaper vise and purchased the OMP... it's a chunk of coin, but when the point of a vise is to help level everything on the bow, I don't know if there is a better one out there. Enjoy! It's a great feeling learning and taking ownership of the whole process.

The only thing I'd add about the bow press is that on the more expensive models it's not only about some being motorized. Some come with a pin that allows you to quickly change the length of the arm so you work on different lengths bow or use the draw board with a longer draw bow without cranking the arm forever. Great video! Only big piece for my home shop I'm missing is the press. Got my eye on the LCA ultimate EZ press. Been using it in both shops I've worked in and just love it.

For a bow stand I adapted the top part of a camera tripod. Find an old one. I got mine at a garage sale for $5.00. Remove the legs mount it DIY stand or bench.

Awesome, so excited for you, the arrow saw is so important, just because you can get cut to length, doesn't mean, it's the proper length.. Arrow tuning is extremely important.. I have know doubt, that you will be shooting 30% or more, better once you have time to learn arrow tuning. You groups will tighten-up at long range shooting and you will get better penetration, just because the arrow is flying the best it can..

You went all in, congrats. You should have just built a bench for all those goodies. I built my own bow press with draw board for about $50 and about an hour of time. It’s made out of wood. Mine is mechanically hand operated but it was cheap and I’ve worked on several bows. Just use common sense. I’d recommend watching Kellen from “inside out precision” on YT for how to tutorials. He’s got great content.

Thats expensive but nice. I made an uall in one archery shop on a single home depot saw horse. Its pretty stable. I have a ez press, draw board, bow vise and i am going to mount my pvc square paper tuner in the middle of the top of the vise and i might add my arrow saw in the back too. If u want to see it let me know how i can send the pic to u. The stand was only 34.00 home depot and the legs fold inside. Let me know. Just thought i give my 2 cents.

Personally it seems like it would be more economically sound to get a work bench. You could have saved on the stands for both the vice and the press. The press could be "permanent" on the bench and a vice could be used on the same bench or just secured them to the bench with a couple easily removable bolts. Just my opinion tho

Love Last Chance Archery, got their digital scale 4 weighing small accessories last year & use it all the time with my arrow spinner. Just got a new multi use jig 4 fletching 2day in the mail 2 go along with my Blazer jig that works great but is only a 2" Blazer Blazer fletching tool. R u sure u r 5'10:?#no heels on bare feet,lol

I shoot a 400 spine also. That sounds ok to me, but you can look it up. There are arrow spine charts all over the internet.

Arrow spine is based off of more than how many pounds you draw. Your arrow length and the speed of your bow is also factored in.
