Also be sure to continue moving while heating the emblem. Staying in place for too long will warp the paint/metal. Hairdryers are an easy trade off for the heat gun as well if you don’t have one.

Nice those black emblems look way better! You missed the trick to make it easier to put the new emblems on ,you should have put masking tape under the old one's . The masking tape gives you a straight line to lay new emblems on.

I’ve found that WD-40 works the best for removing adhesive. It’s more oil based. Love the new car though! It’s beautiful!

this is actually gonna help me because im thinking of trying my luck to find a Ford Falcon XB GT Coupe to then clean it up and fix it to make it look like from the mad max game when max first gets it back with a few minor mods to the body and either one of 3 emblems on the car which will be wither Decepticon, Terrorcon, or Predacon vecause i think it would look nice with wither of the 3 and since it will be wastelandy i personally think terror con would be better but im saving this video for when i do find one because i would love to remember how to take the emblems off

A 3M eraser pad also works really well. You just have to make sure to go with a slow speed and not score the paint.

3m general purpose adhesive cleaner will get that off in less than 5 mins without having to pick off the old adhesive. It comes in a aerosol can and it's about $8-$10. Another tip, heat the new emblems adhesive for about 15 to 30 secs and it will adhere much better than a cold install.

To make use of fishing line easier....wrap either end around a popsicle stick. Makes easier to pull and slide without hurting your fingers. Instead of a heathen, utilize a hairdryer on hot...reduces chance of damage to paint or clear coat just some tips...

Rubbing alcohol works very well. Saturate folded microfiber, wipe area with glue to wet, then COVER with same rag for a few seconds. Press and wipe off in clean swipe. Great for tree sap. 5.8 emblems are available too.
