@@c.d.c9425 it’s a ton of work and your time away from home, family, friends and life in general, is far greater then what most humans need and expect. Now yes working for RBR would be a dream, but ultimately you basically dedicate your life and depending on what you do within the team, if you’re traveling with the team, you have to think of how much you’re traveling and working and basically not home. That all wears on you and eventually it becomes a bit much. Many who have done it and since left, simply say they were missing their life, it’s nothing to do with the sport or team, just simply, they’ve served their time and seen everything they want to see, it’s time to move on and let someone else have that experience.

Perhaps they should build a new track in the mountains behind nearby Nice or Cannes. Wouldn't be difficult to make a more interesting French circuit than Paul Ricard. They could probably even still call it the Monaco Grand Prix via some shady deal with the principality, which is only a few miles from Nice but too small itself for a better track.

Way to go Christian. Been a fan of Max since the start. You are his leader. Keep it up and spank those Merc's out of the fight. So happy last year to finally break through their stronghold on the title. Keep up the pressure and all will come to you and the team. Awesome stuff!

I hope he is at Red Bull for a long time ,Christian and max are what drew me into the sport 3 years ago, and I am not a true Red Bull fan forever , whether they are first or last , I love their attitudes on and off track

Hello? He is being Red Bull team principal since Red Bull bought Jaguar F1 team back in 2005

I won't be able to HOLD myself on the day of his retirement. People see him as a Villain but don't see what he fights for and what it takes to run the team. Absolutely loved this conversation.

1:28 Yup, DTS definitely made a huge impact and brought an even bigger audience to F1. It definitely made me like F1 and I keep up with it everytime because of it.

Brilliant interview. SkyF1 is all about features like this and worth shelling out to subscribe. Still not cheap though so thanks to the Sky team for making this viewable worldwide

Bottom line is Christen is just a nice bloke, Honest bloke. People person. Which we all can relate.200+ people don't just ship and go work for him & his team if you're horrible.

For a direct Dutchman, Horner is a bit too evasive all the time. But I like his energy. And I don't think he is unemployable outside F1. He could be a diplomat.

I think Horner has the perfect balance of Britishness and Dutchness. I guess that's Australian :P As a team principal you can't simply say what you think. You need to be strategic and political a lot of the time. I love most of all that Christian is tongue and cheek and doesn't take himself so serious all of the time. Seems like a great guy to have a beer with :)

maybe those "haters" are just jealous - I am 82 years old and have been an F1 fan since my father took to me to an F1 race at age 14 - I smelt the burning rubber, the fumes, the castor oil and heard the screaming sound of the supercharged 1.5 liter V16 BRM F1 race car - still a petrolhead - this Guy Christian Horner is extremely intelligent and like he said, he never had any formal training - his skills are people skills - and a joy to listen to
@MrArchie8002 жыл бұрын
I would have loved to attend a race back then - you are very lucky p.s. did you mean Castrol Oil? ;-)
@rogeliogamboa76442 жыл бұрын
@@MrArchie800 probably was Castrol* but actually it smelt like "castor" oil - seriously, I think back then it was a mix ! BTW back then there were three "mechanics" per team : one to change the plugs, one to change the tires and the other one to gas up - teams today have 300 - went to several GP's back then, watched Stirling Moss, Jim Clark, Graham Hill, Jackie Stewart, Bruce McLaren, Jack Brabham, Keke Rosberg, Phill Hill - in later life went to Melbourne GP, saw Senna, have been to Sou Paulo on the "Senna Tour" including the Interlagos track, Senna's Museum, ate BBQ at his favorite restaurant, and visited his gravesite - my wife and I cried when he died and after that my wife never watched another GP
