AT NOBO 2024 - Raven Rock Shelter (mi. 1061.7) to Tumbling Run Shelters (mi. 1075.9)

Raven Rock Shelter (mi. 1061.7) to Tumbling Run Shelters (mi. 1075.9) Hot was the word of the day. I started the day with 0 ounces of water and had a 6 mile hike to a public park to get some. . When I got there though I was rewarded with a great area … clean rest rooms, outlets, water fountain, and a huge pavilion with probably 20 picnic tables under it, where I believe at one time there were about 12 to 15 through hikers resting. I got there at 10 am and didn’t leave till about 2:30 PM 😂 In that time, I slept on a picnic table for close to two hours, me and Busted and Huckleberry grabbed an Uber to a local convenience store for lunch, and just drank lots of Gatorade. After that, I knew I still had about 8 miles to hike to the next shelter, along the way I passed the Mason Dixon line which signified entering into Pennsylvania, so that was cool. I’ve been out in the woods now again for almost a week, so I need to start looking at a nice place to spend the night, take a shower, and get some laundry done. I also want to make sure they have decent Wi-Fi so I can catch everyone up on my videos. I’ll make a call home tomorrow to The Master logistics person on my team and come up with something. People keep warning me about all these rocks in Pennsylvania, but until I see something that’s worse than coming down off the summit of Katahdin via the Saddle Trail, call me unimpressed.
Todays menu: Licorice, a snickers, Turkey Club Wrap, 16 oz. of chocolate milk, package of Swedish fish, salt & vinegar Pringles, bowl of black raspberry ice cream, bottle of ginger ale, protein bar, and tons of water with Gatorade mix.
