Stealth tent site (1160.1) to Stealth tent site (1175.5) I had the best conversation with someone that I’ve had on the trail yet tonight … and his name was Big Tuna 😂 He’s a nurse from Virginia, and I don’t remember everything we discussed, but it was fulfilling in a very enjoyable way, and I got a pretty good fire going while we chatted. I also got a chance today to speak to my good friend Shocka, which made me smile and kept me smiling the rest of the day. I have such great memories from college, and my teammates were the major reason for that. I hope I get a chance to meet up with some of them when I hike through Connecticut. Good mileage today on not bad terrain. I think I may be starting to get hungry, definitely ate the most I have eaten on the trail in a single day today (see below). Maybe I will get my weight to plateau 🤷‍♂️
I’m a little light on snacks but there is a hostel right by the trail about 10 miles ahead tomorrow, I’ll get what I need to get me Port Clinton, PA on Monday when I pick up my next Mail Drop. Rain is supposed to come in around 4 pm tomorrow, so I hope to get to the shelter about 17 miles from here before it hits … we’ll see 🤞
Todays menu: 2 Packages of pop tarts, can of tuna & crackers, 2 honey stinger waffles, 2 snickers, freeze dried chicken pesto meal, 2 Cliff bars, pasta marina freeze dried meal, 2 packages of peanut butter crackers, and water with Mio additive.
