That was great fun to watch! I know you didn’t have the camera rolling every second of the week but it sure seemed like you did when I was watching this. I really liked your found-sound experiment too, no added sound or music (I don’t think) except for that which was naturally occurring. Anyway, thanks for all the time you took to film and edit this - all of us video viewers can experience some of the beauty of the AT (a lot of truly awesome shots by the way) and I can (selfishly) remember the hike and Trail Days with even greater specificity!

I never get tired of seeing Evans tarp set ups…and you guys are so fun together, I think because you have such polar opposite personalities and when you are together its like you are with your older, more serious brother and he looks on the verge of being irritated by your fun antics, but loves you enough to not say anything. But actually I think he has a great sense of humor.

This video was absolutely AWESOME! Two of my heroes. Truthfully, in 2018, you guys, along with PeeWee and the Crawfords, were my curriculum as I was planning my '19 hike with my son. It was also great to see Hawk, who passed us on Sassafras like we were standing still (and caused Gavin to change from Hawk to Hawkeye,) and Dave, with whom we spent two incredible nights over Easter to get out of horrid weather. It is great to see you guys together again. I am blessed to have kept in close touch with my trail fam. Hawkeye and I were there with them this season when they left Springer in February for a do-over hike which unfortunately ended in Waynesboro. I remember emailing Evan from Waynesboro in '19 trying to figure out how to get my videos uploaded more quickly from LumaFusion. He promptly replied with a solution for which I was so grateful. Thanks to both of you for all you have given to The Trail and its hikers through your videos. Watching this one makes me even more excited for our planned '24 "redo" after Hawkeye graduates from high school.

That was my best friends drone pic on his phone. Me and my son were sitting at the picnic table there when Evan was showing the phone. It was my sons first Trail Days. It got him hooked, and we have been on trail every chance since!!

Wow, I can't believe you guys were there. Don't know how we missed each other. I went the week before and hiked another section north of Damascus with my dog. I think I will be picking away at VA for quite some time. We did the parade also but were in the front with this years hikers. It was a fun time as usual.

Hopefully one day i can hike the AT and attend trail days. Maybe when my son rerires from navy in 8 more years I can talk him into going on this journey with his very old dad for good 5 to 6 months to hike the AT.

Start at Pawling ny. Nobo and Pawling to sobo. I have a z pack soloplex never used and have no idea to set up. Might look into hyperlite tent and backpack. As you love so much!
