This is my interview to Estonian TV (ETV). This clip was in the "Ringvaade" show which is one of the most popular daily shows here in Estonia. Lot of locals showed up in my workshop with their chairs after that ;)

Same here, Nancy. So many are obviously kind of "fake" where the pieces are very carefully chosen and don't require much more than a bit of stripping and sanding. Channels featuring true fixes and the correct use of different kinds of materials and construction, like Ahti (and Thomas Johnson, also good) are much more rare. There are others that are just painful to watch because the work itself is just sloppy or uninformed. There's a place for all of these videos, nothing against those who watch them, but they're not for me. If someone restores a 100 year old piece of furniture, I like to see them do it in a way that will last the next hundred years, because those wonderful original Art Nouveau and Art Deco pieces are never coming back. Let's see some of these "sand and repaint" channels fix a WWII bombed chair like Ahti just did, right down to traditional seaweed/horsehair upholstery methods, and then I might have a bit more respect.

For me, I like watching your restoration videos probably because I can see how passionate you are in your work. The quality of your meticulousness and patience when fixing furniture always remained consistent with all your uploaded videos. It makes me awfully reflect on myself as a young person, "What is the work that I can do continuously for 30 years and still makes me happy when I do it?" It's pretty awesome to see your little smile actually when your learned that your works are finally getting the recognition they deserved.

I look forward to your videos EVERY week! I enjoy watching your work because it's clear that you know what you're doing, sometimes you add some humor and other times, it's just baffling (like the video where the client was fixing that particle board dresser lol). I appreciate the time that you spend to record and edit these videos. They are educational and very interesting! I am amazed by how you are able to take some pieces that seem impossible to repair and actually make them look incredible! Even though I will probably never refinish furniture, it's relaxing to watch you apply your craft. You are a master sir!

I had my own carpentry workshop in Russia, but now I had to leave and start studying in IT in order to find a remote job outside of Russia. But I love carpentry with all my soul, and I hope to return to this field in the future. My dream remains to visit workshops of my idols on youtube - foureyes furniture, Jonathan Katz-Moses, Bourbon Moth, and of course yours.
