The timeline was an incoherent mess, jumping haphazardly between decades with vague references to relationships and life events that lacked any meaningful context. Rotolo inspired Dylan as she was involved with several movements like racial equality, anti-war etc. She left Dylan when she read about his affair with Baez who raised his profile as she was more famous at the time, Baez ended their relationship when she found him in her bed with another woman. They continued working together until Dylan's fame became more prominent. There is a pattern not unlike Bowie who used people of both sexes to further his career before dropping them to move on to others.
