This game introduced a lot of the mechanics we see in first-person shooters today, and it’s honestly pretty impressive!! Someone needs to make a modernized version of this with online multiplayer and split-screen modes, and the ability to toggle between an original and “updated” mode!!

I just recently seen that someone has made a modernised version of it, and it looks better than I could have ever imagined! Hope it does get finished and released some day - kzbin.info/www/bejne/bWa1e2qshph4hassi=XunJAKhu29aA0eDs

This is an amazing job. Those tanks that come from the sides really seem to require a high level of skill to nab consistently. Thanks for sharing this.

Seeing this game in the local cafe back in 1980 was quite something... I recall there was an Asteroids and Battlezone by one another and then a Missile Command joined not long after... also recall a Galaxia game (not Galaxians) which was a Galaxians rip off... seemed to be everywhere back in the day.

The Battlezone Gold Classic Mode version is so much more difficult. slower reload times. I have the world record. Nice gameplay
