Thanks Mick, good save, love my 17s but the spares can be expensive so often off-putting if you're not confident of repairing it ! Mind you price of a new equivalent now is scary, I paid £389 for mine new, probably spent on more on parts since then !

Hi Mick, Hope you are well, its John from Orpington. I recently repaired a Ryobi Subaru 175cc, nice looking machine. When I picked it up last year, the chap only told me there was no box when I arrived, so as a temporary measure modified a electric Ryobi mower box which is the same yellow and black colour scheme to cover the grass shoot at back. Its a good effort, but just not strong enough, as I had to extend the box retaining bar to far side, which keeps giving way. Do you know anyone who has a box the code is RLM46175SL, as mentioned yellow and black, 55 litre. Many Thanks John Curry

Hi Mick you do a lot of these 35s mowers. Have you ever re-aligned a scarifier cassette on one of these or changed the bearings on the cassette? Easy diy job or not? No video or instructions anywhere on web so may be a great marketing tool for you to do a step by step guide of stripping one down and putting back together with new bearings and tines, Appreciate your efforts.

People don't know how to fix the older lawnmowers and then they get confused what's wrong and take parts off and get tired and frustrated why they can't figure out what's wrong after taking it to bits and then get left like that for someone else to fix it
