I tried this and it does work wonderfully however i made some modifications : 1.) Wrap some cloth at the holeless bottom part so that the moisture wont drip away from the bottle. This will avoid possible short circuiting. 2. Use modified ice so that it will last longer . Use a tubular cellophane bag and fill it with water then make it into ice. Make sure though that the ice fits inside the bottle. Ice cubes will melt a lot quicker bit a huge solid piece of ice melts slower.

The three principles involved are 1. Heat Transfer - The ice has a low concentration of heat so the hot air is drawn to it causing the ice to melt. As the ice melts due to absorption of heat, the air around it cools. 2. Forced draft - the cool air now gets blasted by the force of the rotating blade forward and makes contact with air particles that are are farther from the melting ice. 3. Evaporative cooling - the blasted cold air reached the dew point temperature and, as our country has high humidity immediately releases the water vapor giving that cooling effect as the cooled vapor absorbs even more heat. However, unlike air conditioning, there is no controlled volume so, you have to actually open the windows since the humidity goes up due to more evaporation caused by the apparatus. If you do not open the windows, the room will be saturated with vapor causing natural discomfort.

It would be better to use a smaller frozen bottle of water inside a bigger empty bottle of water that had the holes, etc. like the ones attached to the fan. First, less leakage from condensation that collects outside the water bottle which drips on the floor. Second, the ice inside the frozen water bottle wouldn't melt as quickly.

It.s a good idea. I think a way to improve this would be to place the ice in front of the fan. The fan draws air from all over the place, as you can feel with your hand, in the backside of the fan, the pull is very little, opposed to the great speed the air comes out. And so less air comes in contact with the ice

Finally found 2 more reasons to wake up in the middle of night apart from taking a piss: to let the bottles of ice piss and to refill ice cubes into said bottles... my life is now complete

😂😂😂never mind I just finished the video. I’m not stupid. When I wrote that comment, this was before I saw how much ice she put in. I thought she would only put ice under the holes because WHEN IT MELTS IT’LL LITERALLY COME OUT OF THE HOLES AND DRIP EVERYWHERE AND ONTO YOUR FAN AND DOWN THE CORD TOWARDS YOUR OUTLET UNTIL IT HITS THE OUTLET AND SHORT CIRCUITS YOUR WHOLE ROOM.
