THANK YOU! I'm finding that the switching only works from the pedal if your computer is ON THE ATEM Software Control - meaning you can't be on OBS. You can have both programs open - but I've learned to just keep the ATEM SC low down on my screen so I can still see my OBS. Curious if anyone else finding the same? Otherwise this is a GodSend. I did have to go back and re-work the steps watching the video. Thank you for your thoroughness! AWESOME. I'm a streaming songwriter and a while a go I used a bluetooth AirTurn pedal to change my cameras .. it was no fun because it only allowed you to cycle through the cameras 1-2-3-4 and then I think back down again .... That was using eCamm Live and plugging the cameras directly into the computer via USB. I've been using ATEM Mini Pro now (with 4 Canon EOS RP's) for a while but always had to have someone here switching for me. This - combined with a couple motorized sliders - is a GREAT solution thank you!

Hey , I bought the AirStep based on this video and used it to figure out how to get it to work as a camera foot switch ( i need my hands to play and sing) and while we did get it to work it is behaving erratically....so ah...HELP 🙂Specifically, the AirStep App on my Android phone keeps toggling out of ATEM mode and into a default MIDI PC mode. Sometimes it just doesnt work at all (meaning it doesnt control the ATEM ) even though it is connected, blue tooth AND the BlueTooth Midi Connect is installed AND the ATEM Software control panel is front / active window on my Mac desktop and even after we 've rebooted everything (and yes we hit the Control button -which did make it work once. We (my tech helper and myself) have run out of ideas to get it to work consistantly . And oh yeah..we did get the latest firmware updated via AirStep Updater....The only thing we can think of that we havnt tried yet is to use an Apple device like my IPad on the off chance the App doesnt like Android? Welcome any suggestions. Thanks!

how do i get it to work with youtube.i got the perset on #5.sometimes it works other times it doesnt.last time everything seemed to work but the slow down speed it would go down to the lowest but then it wouldnt go back the normal speed?

Hey there I’ve not used it for that yet but make sure you update the firmware and if the problem continues contact the AIRSTEP support team. The AIRSTEP Facebook group is very good to get help from others

Yes you have to have computer on and you can’t switch off Atem software unfortunately

You don't need the app again once saved to device :-) I believe you can connect the USB or Midi. So many options

Still can't get my Airstep Lite to work with my ATEM mini pro. Have loaded the ATEM settings from my iphone to the Airstep Lite. My macbook pro shows Airstep Lite connected to both Bluetooth and the Bluetooth Midi Device app. The ATEM Software Control box is check for Midi Control in preferences. Still nothing. Any suggestions?

Sorry to ask one more thing (cause your video was full of GOOG stuff in a compact package!). Do ypu need that phone app for something? You use it on the settings sectiok... can you do without? in 6:40 you mention the control-press in keyboard. So at first it controls only preview and if you press ctrl does it stay permanently on switching the program(the video output)? Cab you still use the "mix-in-pic-channelchange" or does it only do the straight cut from camX to camY?

I'm using two ATEM's - a Mini Pro and a Mini Pro ISO - can the AIRSTEP see one or both ? if both, can I assign different buttons to each of the ATEM's? (I sincerely hope this is the case.) If not and I add AIRSTEP Lite can I assign buttons on the AIRSTEP to ATEM 1 and the LITE to ATEM 2 ? This could be a genuine game-changer for live performers with multi-camera and multi-video input setups. thank you.

I'm not sure as it works on hot keys to your computer not the Atems itself

Although if both Atems run through the same software on the computer you can use the device to change both. Not sure how it works with two Atems

The feedback from support indicates they have not tested this scenario (not complaining, I can hardly have expected them to) I jut rigged up an XKeys usb foot pedal to change cameras so I'm hoping the Airstep is capable of more than just that. Support indicates that I should use midi for Logic and the HID technology for the ATEM - I was hoping that Airstep could assign some buttons to one software, like ATEM Control and other buttons to another, like Logic.

Can the Airstep control Companion software, or Elgato Streamdeck? Alternately, can you set it up to run Atem macro's?

For controlling the software, it depends on if the software has key shortcut input. I've not tried it with macros yet but will let you know when I do :-)

Has anyone had a problem getting their Airstep to work as described in the video? I've followed the steps in the video over and over and still can't get the Airstep to connect to my ATEM mini pro. Very frustrating since I bought the Airstep after watching the video in hopes to make it work as a foot controller for switching.

Hey Rod it doesn’t connect directly to the Atem Mini it needs to connect to your computer and you need to have the software open and it controls that. If you click off the program it won’t work and you need it install the bluetooth app I talk about. I think you can just connect with normal Bluetooth as it’s controlled with hot keys

I understand that the Airstep Lite doesn't connect directly with the ATEM mini and that my mac is connecting the Airstep Lite thru Bluetooth to the ATEM software - the software is what controls the ATEM switching (and a lot more). My problem all along has been that the Airstep is showing up in both the Mac Bluetooth window and in the Bluetooth Midi Connect window so I know the Airstep is connected to my Mac. Then how do I get my Airstep routed into the ATEM software? The Airstep switches are still not controlling the ATEM software. I'm wondering if this has something to do with the Audio Midi setup on my Mac and something is not setup correctly there? I wish it was as simple as you describe it in the video:)
