The AFT got its pp slapped by the courts (as they should have) in regards to the FRTs. The Federal judge "enjoined them from taking civil or criminal legal action or warning notices against people purchasing or possessing these FRTs. The judge also ordered the AFT to return, within 30 days, any FRTs it has seized from manufacturers, resellers, or individual owners. The judge also ordered the AFT to issue remedial letters, correcting a prior mailing campaign warning FRT owners that possessing those devices is illegal." If they are going to confiscate something from you, they must offer “just compensation” under the fifth amendment’s Takings Clause. Failure to do so would mean you could sue the ATF and potentially get a big sum of money out of it. Oh, and they need a warrant to seize any of your property. If they force you to hand it over, it’s considered Malfeasance because they’d be violating their oath to uphold the constitution. Turns out later on the news the cops had gone there for one apartment and then had a gunfight with a totally different apartment. The cops didn't find anything or anyone in the apartment they went there for originally, but it sure forced the people in the other apartment into showing their hand unnecessarily! And YES Congress voted on it. 90 years ago in fact, and have updated and modified it several times since, by Congressional vote. The ATF role is to enforce the Laws put forth by Congress, AND make technical assessments to determine which things are, or are NOT legal. IT IS THEIR JOB. OR does this idiot think that the geniuses in Congress are going to vote on every single new product or modification that comes out each year? Those people couldn't figure out which way to face the firearm if they were using the manual, following a KZbin video, and the directions were printed on the buttstock in 7 different languages. Not anymore. Now that your conservative buddies on the Supreme Court decided that agencies are no longer able to make reasonable interpretations that allow for effective enforcement of the law, in the spirit of the law, it will be up to judges to determine all highly technical questions that arise anytime there is an ambiguity, whether the Agency’s interpretation was reasonable or not. The purpose of a FRT is to emulate the function of a machine gun. The idea behind the law in question was to prevent machine guns from being easily purchasable by members of the public. Personally, I don’t believe a shovel stops being a shovel just because you’re holding it from the wrong end. Now that SC has done this, no agency is allowed to make the same sort of reasonable interpretation of what makes a shovel a shovel. Say what you will about the Byzantine labyrinth that is federal gun law. Personally, I believe it’s bad at doing what it is meant to achieve. I believe there should be more legal routes to purchasing machine guns. I also believe those legal routes should be constructed in a way that puts more onus on preventing the proliferation of machine guns than ease of purchase. I don’t think Joe from Hicksville should be facing a 10+ year prison sentence for filing down the barrel of his shotgun. I probably agree with you on most gun laws, however I do think there should be gun laws. I do think owning a machine gun should require jumping through a not inconsequential number of hoops. It’d be bad if anyone could walk into Walmart and 10 minutes late walk out with an LMG. The point is, it’s not helpful to anyone if we split hairs like this on what does and doesn’t count as a machine gun. FRTs functionally accomplish the same thing as a full auto switch. That doesn’t mean they should be totally banned. I’m sure there are some other legitimate reasons for them. Just like a machine gun, they should be able to be purchased, but only after some extra checks and requirements are met. (Probably ought to track such a part, for example). By splitting hairs like this, you’re just making bad gun laws worse and good gun laws impossible.

What is that compared to eternity with God? Furthermore Jesus says He is going to make a Kingdom on Earth where there are no taxes or evil. These people wont be alive by that time, as God says if these people do not repent for evil and trust in Christ, they will perish. So again, what value does their nonsense hold? Oh wow, getting put in prison for killing and fighting evil people in gov positions, wow, so scared…notice the sarcasm? Besides, they know their time is short. @@Pathfinderxrprivate military contractors that make weapons for actual military units… the ATF has no right to be fabricating laws, even if they’re ‘concerned’ about another incident like you mentioned.

@narrowgoat-scout not all PMCs are go fast cool guys doing badass missions or whatever. A contractor can literally be the business that's paid to make snd ship canteens to the army lol. The ATF is NOT legislative body. Yet, they make up laws, and people get charged. They charged a guy for selling metal business cards. They said those cards can be used to turn semi rifles into full autos. So, they classified that metal business card as a "machine gn" and charged him for illegal manufacturer and sale of a machine gun. Even though it was literally just a metal business card..
@stereodreamer236 ай бұрын
If this guy has the license to produce full-auto rigs for a SEAL Team, owning FRTs is 100% legal for him. Machine guns are not illegal to own for someone with a Federal Manufacturer's License to manufacture Class3 Weapons. The ATF has gone completely rogue if they are going after licensed Class 3 manufacturers who have DOD Contracts...

@stereodreamer23 You can own a machine gun. If you can afford💲💲 it and qualify for a special permit. They were grandfathered in from decades ago when they were legal. There's very few of them and ultra expensive. Basically if your a wealthy collector. They were very expensive even when legal.

Advances in medicine, technology, and public health have significantly improved life expectancy and quality of life. Additionally, global initiatives for peace and safety have reduced many forms of violence and mortality.
