I don’t 100% deny the possibility that a god or gods might exists, but I haven’t encountered any compelling evidence for the existence of such a thing yet, and until I have evidence for something I don’t assume it to be true. I have never claimed that there definitely are no gods, nor have I ever claimed that there definitely are no such things as unicorns. But I would not assume that either one exists until I have been presented with good evidence.

The Great Commission is mainly extremely good at keeping believers in the faith, specifically in the tight knit faith community of the evangelical church. Because it is so incredibly annoying to everyone else, the believer will have consistent negative experiences with people outside the faith. Then they go and bond with one another about how difficult it all is. This creates an isolation from the rest of society, which reinforces the dependence on the cult, I mean, church.(I kid, but this aligns pretty tightly with the tactics cults use to isolate their victims. Domestic abusers too).

As someone who has mental disorders that make it difficult to read and conversate with people I hate everything about this conversation. Initially the atheist hosts were tasked with handholding the christian and they're boilerplate entitlement to preach to people in public with only polite pushback from skeptic's being the only allowed recourse in that circumstance. So when your explanation politely broached all the vectors in said entitled behavior. The caller clearly just code-witched, evidenced by how protrudedly out of sorts he was, even for his stupid tarded' breezy manner of speech. That's insane. Read about the points you make, and then study peoples objections. Thinking that people have not heard the word of god, will cause you to fail. Okay let's start with a few things with the first being that the overwhelming majority of atheists I've seen answer the question "what would you do if you became convinced that a god or gods exist?"with the answer pretty much universally comes back to well I would have to then assess what God or God's exist and I would make any decision going forward based off of that because depending on the version of the god, some actually might possibly to some degree technically be worth worship even but other versions like the abrahamic god if it were actually real and everything in the Bible was true, it would be a horrific mass murdering jealous sadistic freak and not something I would consider worshiping and I think that's where this caller is getting the idea that atheists wouldn't become Christian even though if you convinced us that your specific version of your God was real, we would technically be a theist of that type but we just simply wouldn't worship your God. Beyond all that so many theists don't understand the base reasoning behind why a supernatural claim of any variety regardless of whether it's a god or magic or miracles or whatever is quite frankly not just hard to accept but any reasonable mind quite literally would never accept a supernatural claim unless someone managed to somehow find a way to genuinely verify every other possibility that could possibly be natural for literally everything thus requiring omniscience which you can't even know for sure if you have it and even if you did know you have it how old is anyone else know you are omniscient unless they themselves are omniscient basically coming out to the point that trying to demonstrate to a reasonable degree that any supernatural claim is real quite frankly I currently don't know if it's even possible meaning if you were going to propose a God, it would have to be a part of the natural rather than how many theists try to say God is nothing and everything and beyond nature and is this all-powerful thing in the yada yada yada

2:50 you having the burden of proof doesn't mean you have to actually prove anything to anyone else and by that I mean if you're not trying to convince anyone else to believe what you're saying then you don't have to do anything with the burden of proof simply refers to the fact that a person making a claim and trying to convince another person of that claim has to meet the burden of proof or essentially whatever evidence is needed to convince that person of your claim and for each person they'll have a different level of a burden of proof that they feel you need to fill before they'll believe your claim. Beyond this quite frankly most atheists I've seen don't actually like talking about religion with the only ones that do are the ones that are already online talking about it in specific spaces to talk about it anyways meaning the majority of atheists you'll come across in daily life quite frankly won't be the ones initiating conversation about religion my guy and if you find yourself in situations where you're constantly talking to atheists about religion then it seems like you're more likely the common denominator here my friend and they're just telling you that they won't just believe whatever you tell them unless you give them enough evidence that can convince specifically them my guy

5:35 this is where my initial comment comes into play my guy because yes I would believe your God exists if you could convince me that your God exists by definition but that does not mean I have to then become a Christian and more specifically what a Christian means of worship your God as that is something I would choose to do based on them my understanding of what the god you have just convinced me of is actually like and quite frankly I'm the sort of person in a general sense who thinks admiration respects and support is warranted but straight up worship is a step too far even for the best real life people I have met because I don't think worship is a good idea regardless...
