I believe that this is a wonderful idea . God bless the people who are helping the homeless.

These people ought to be commended and funded. At least they're doing something.

I think that this is better than living in the street as a former homeless person which I'm fixing to be homeless again and you're right there's not enough housing but yet not only is there not enough housing there's other issues mental health issues that are caused by just depression because of what's been going on the lack of transportation to a job in my case in South Carolina and they don't want you to do anything to help people they don't want you to actually move forward because the whole goal is to keep people where they want them and I firmly believe that what you are doing with these people are doing is the blessing and then for taking that step and moving forward because I want to live in a tent

Unfortunately in LA the main reason for homelessness in the numbers we see now on the streets IS drug addiction. Many people losing their homes because they use all their 💰💸on their drug of choice and even refuse entering drug treatment, mental health treatment, medical treatment and housing.😮💨🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️😞

I guess a lot of people will be living in a tents next. My one bedroom apartment just went up to $1700. You must make three times that now to qualify. I guess since that is about average for the city of Nashville now they will be throwing a lot of people out. Everyone is turning their rentals into Airbnb or wanting Airbnb prices for rent. My Jeep was stolen in February with only liability coverage so I need an apartment on a bus route which is just not happening because the city has decided to cut back on bus services due to areas raised income levels. My autistic son walks over a mile and catches 6 buses now to get to back and forth to college which takes up around 6 to 7 hours a day waiting and riding leaving only enough time to take one class each semester. We just live one day at a time and are thankful we have a warm place to live today.

In plenty of people pockets and very little to the people who need it. I see snacks and not food. Showers?

Well, I guess it's better to see this than see the a$$holes that go 'evict' the homeless encampments.
@MarkMayhew Жыл бұрын
Exactly, why don’t they just turn them into “government sanctioned” encampments?
@MarkMayhew Жыл бұрын
Evict an encampment and everybody has to go and find a new place to pitch their tent/start an encampment. Who would allow an insane cycle like that to continue? Follow the money, somebody is benefiting.

I used to live in Athens. They had a large homeless encampment called Tent City for many years off Lexington rd. They had to move it for the Loop Expansion
@aquariusrizing9 ай бұрын
Yes. First they moved it because it was visible to commuters during the winter. Now it's gone, under asphalt. Or at least completely cleared. We still have homeless panhandling in traffic and on the off ramps.

Where are our State officials? They are the ones that can make things happen with affordable housing but they are nowhere to be found on this matter.

2.5 million two run this program but we have spent over 100 Billion funding a war we have nothing to do with. I would rather see tiny homes with electricity there are other states that have done this. It's a great idea.

Why did Georgia agree to this? It's not the government's job to use taxpayer money to subsidize housing for those people who are irresponsible or have Mental Health/SUD. I agree with housing for elderly and the disabled, but not for people who simply don't want to help themselves.
