@tobiasb1542 ай бұрын
@@gael7w802 haven’t looked into that specifically. But in general, the fat of animals is the safest place to store chemicals which we then consume ourselves. In an experiment, humans were given physical and cognitive tests then fed beef and retested. Those that ate inorganic/grain fed did the worst and had higher omega 6 levels. Those that ate organic (grass or grain fed) did okay. Those that ate grass fed beef (organic or inorganic made no difference) did the best and had better omega-3 profiles. So my guess is chicken skin is okay if it is truly free range. In short what really matters is what you eat, ate before it was butchered.

There are several other risk factors that are placed way above high cholesterol. The only thing in that blood test you need to care about is Triglycerides need to be low, that's it. LDL means nothing, it will always be high on a low carb diet no matter what. Always eat the whole egg, with butter and beef fat. Stop eating processed grains, bread, pasta and foods with seed oils (anything you don't cook yourself will probably have) and any fried food, french fries.. This is the stuff people should be afraid of, not animal fats. Seed oils stay in your body for years. There is zero evidence you need to restrict ANIMAL FATS. The more fat you consume, the more weight that falls off of you and inflammation goes away. Again, only if you're low to no carb. Actually it's proven that if you eat a something with high sugar content while low carb, your cholesterol plummets and is more effective than medication (statins). Look up 'Oreo vs. Statins'. It's not saying to eat oreos, it's a study to show how useless the statins are and the fact that we don't understand cholesterol as well as we thought.

Claim 1 has a false premise based on a comparative study: Low versus high egg consumption, with no zero egg group. At 1:25, Jeff confirms that one egg has 200 mg of cholesterol. When we compare people who eat ZERO eggs to people who eat even ONE, there's a large difference in outcome measures (e.g., LDL). But the difference between 1 egg and 8 eggs is relatively small. However, it's also true that as bad as dietary cholesterol is, dietary saturated fat is even worse.
@falsificationism2 ай бұрын
After watching the video and being familiar with nearly all the studies cited in the video, Jeff also failed to mention that the majority of studies he cites were funded by the American Egg Board, a marketing arm of the U.S. egg industry which pays for research and screens the findings and research methods prior to publication.

Those studies in recent years that showed that different people would thrive on different foods. Person A might struggle with the stuff that person B is eating and the other way around. It makes perfect sense in terms of evolution. Lots of individual differences in the individuals of the population means greater chance of survival for the species. 4-6 per day since 2015. Cholesterol went down about 30% 6 months after I started. It's still the same. There is some evidence that aoft boiled or poached eggs are better for you. Keeping the yolk below a certain temperature helps the yolk cholesterol flush bad cholesterol oul.... Or something like that.

In 2022, I was eating 8-16 whole eggs everyday for at least 4 months. It was cheap protein and i had looked up that dietary cholesterol was not linked to blood cholesterol prior to incorporating this many eggs. I got my bloodwork done and my LDL was 121. As a 21 year old that had been consistently lifting for 4 years, I was shocked. I cut yolks from my diet for about a year to fix my LDL. I have since reintroduced the yolks and have 2-3 a day with healthy LDL levels. It seems, for my body at least, that dietary cholesterol has an impact on blood cholesterol when taken to the extremes

8 - 16 eggs per day gives you about 12 - 25 extra grams of saturated fats though... And your diet might consist of other sources of saturated fats as well?

My lovely great grandma who has passed away a few years ago did every single day eat eggs I was told by my family. She never had any major diseases and was healthy to the day of her death, she passed away peacefully without pain. She always ate healthy and didnt eat any processed foods at that time and she lived to 95 years old so thats a number. Even though she lived in bad conditions (post WW 2 in Poland) the house was kind of dirty and small but still she managed to live healthy and thanks to God passed away with her only family left being her sons.
