Mikaela is in a class of her own. Kudos for Lindsay trying to come back but father time waits for no one. She just misses the limelight. It will not end well.

“Kudos” is a single word, it hasn’t any apostrophe. “Limelight” is also one word. I don’t mean to offend you, I just thought that you might wanna’ know for your future comments. I do like your comment though and I will keep it in mind while watching Mikaela in her races to come. Thanks for sharing! 👍✌️🤗

I would not count Vonn out. I would bet that she will be on the podium again.
@JosephMartin-o4l8 күн бұрын
@@richardwarren449 I would certainly be wary of ever “count(ing) Vonn out”! Her competitive nature is still unmatched (no offense, Miss Shiffrin!). Lindsey just has that Proverbial “something” that simply makes her a unique talent. In “plain terms” Lindsey Vonn’s “got balls” I know, “but that’s impossible” you might say, but this lady’s got “more balls” than anyone I’ve ever known! As for Mikaela “drop(ping)” any “hammer”, I just don’t see it that way. Mikaela, too, is a real competitor and she’s just being a good fighter. The two seem to like and respect each just fine. These things happen and, as the quote goes, “C’est la vie”. Now you go, ladies! 👍🤗✌️

She just got 14th in her first World Cup race in five years and she was defiantly holding back. She misses the speed and competition, she doesn't give a shit about the limelight or the trolls that come with it.

Embrace them both. There’s no need to compare. They are both ridiculously good. 👌👌 in years to come Mikaela might make a come back. Just appreciate their greatness.

I like at one point they call Mikaela's most recent injury "so called injury" What she's faking it?
@davidwhite499711 күн бұрын
I hope all this hype will not cause Mikaela to ski in too many speed events. They are still not her strength. She is risking a lot skiing in them, especially with weak legs after this last fall and last year's fall. Mikaela is great. We should not abuse her. We should not encourage her to abuse herself.
@rogerbarnett841210 күн бұрын
Umm, she was not planning to race any DH this season. I'm not sure of her SG plans.
@eai55410 күн бұрын
Shiffrin is a marvelous skier, exciting to watch her race, but she is quite limited - pretty much a slalom and GS skier, although likely one of the greatest; doesn’t have what it takes to race SuperG and DH.
@trylogic40844 күн бұрын
@eai554 Mikaela has said that she's a little bit risk-averse. She is, however, capable of winning both SG and downhill races, and has won both. Her plan was to ski some SG this season, but no downhill. Tech races are her favorite, though. She said she almost loves training for them more than skiing the races. Training to always make better turns is her favorite thing. As far as being multi-talented in comparison to Lindsey Vonn, Lindsay will only be skiing speed races. You will no longer find her skiing either GS or slalom.
@eai5544 күн бұрын
@ and Vonn shouldn’t be skiing slalom and GS at this point in her life; whereas Shiffin, as great a slalom and GS skiier as there ever was, won’t ever be a Super G and DH skiier of note. Those events are just not for her, as great as she is in slalom andGS.

Mika is WAY BEYOND Vonn but they are both great people. Lara Gut is also amazing
@JosephMartin-o4l7 күн бұрын
@@n-da-bunka2650 I think that your stressing Mika as being the end-all be-all is a bit excessive, however your bringing to attention that are great people is most true. These two are just plain good people and they should each be celebrated for their characters. Really, REALLY, inspiring ladies! 🤗👍✌️
Why take a spot that should go to an up and coming usst racer.. Lyndsey is a class act, however know when to say when..be part of the history chronicles
@trylogic40844 күн бұрын
If Lindsay can win or podium in races for the US right now, then she's doing what the fans and sponsors and the people that run the sport want. Why don't you just say that Mikaela has won enough races, so she should retire so that somebody at the bottom of the rung that will probably never even make a podium can join the World Cup team. Lindsey will bring back old fans' attention and create new fans, and that is what is important to the sport right now.

The media is so desperate for a drama in ski racing in an effort to make money.

The media is desperate for drama in every part of life. We're going to see even more of Mikaela in the media now because she is the top Alpine ski racer. The sport needs as much help as it can get to try and generate interest and create fans in the US.

They are bolth beautiful woman. Linsey choose to go into reatirment because her body was in bad shape it was her time. Now Michaela is out and Vonn misses having all the hype. Michaela is always gunna be the most humble.

Most everything said is true however racing in speed discipline events is unique and Vonn before her injuries caught up with her was on par with any of the men on the World Cup circuit, that’s unrivaled even by Mikaela.

Oh and nobody is screaming louder for Mikaela when she comes down the pitch at Superstar than me just for any doubters.
