How have I gone sooo many years and am just now getting it??? I have struggled all my life being organizationally challenged! You have really taught me some important things (I just recently found you) that I wish I had learned when I was younger. Things every person should learn in school or at home- We’ll, I’m just grateful that I found you before I’m too old to either be physically able to do it or care! I’m so excited to find a place for everything and get rid of the clutter! Thank you for sharing your wisdom with us!! 🌻

I’ve been a list maker for as long as I can remember! Even as a teenager, when my brain could actually remember things, I still made lists. :) I do all of the things in this video, and I love to organize, so I give this video two thumbs up for sure! ❤️ LOVE your hair in this video! You’re looking too cute!

I have learned the value of routines! My biggest is laundry and staying on top of it. Although just my husband and me, I do a load every day but Sunday. Monday and Thursday are whites/light colors, Tuesday and Friday are darks, Wednesday towels and kitchen linens, Saturday is sheets and then another load of towels and kitchen linens. I used to think I didn’t have a system when my kids were growing up, then one day realized I did! We each did our own laundry, including my husband! Each person had an assigned day for their laundry! Another routine is to clean up the kitchen after each meal! Loved this video! Thank you!❤️

At the time I viewed this video, it was posted 3 years ago. It is on time for what is going on in my life right now. I enjoy going back to your previous videos, even 10 or more years ago when I can find them. I just thought of something as I was making this comment. I should start writing down the name of the video and KZbin channel when I find videos like this so I can refer back to them as needed. Thank you so much for all that you do for your viewers.

I was just reading your first book, about having power words. You shared yours, which are "I got this!" Well, I realised today got mine too. 🤗 I know what they are now. " Magic doesn't happen on it's own." It happens when you consistently show up day in day out, without excuses. I sort of thought they were appropriate with this video, about what organized ppl do, and do not do! Love your channel, your books and you organizing style!

Great tips. When you utilize your spaces well. Use and replace things and take one stone to kill 2 birds. As you say ups heat up your breakfast while you do your laundry. Thanks for reminding and helping us to be beautifully organized.

Also, let’s not forget that tip#1 (laundry example) might be harder for those who don’t have a washer and drier at home.
@blaklena9 ай бұрын
Yes! What can eventually function is divide in laundry types. Like if you do it 2-3 times a week, organize with underwear, loungewear one day - T-shirts and Dresses or nice and delicate clothes and the 3 day maybe Bed linen, Kitchen linen and heavy clothes like trousers and sweaters. At least you know when you have which clothes clean and organize around it.

Thank you so very much Nikki!! I must have said Amen 10 times while watching this! I just discovered your channel today and everything you described about being organized and the thought process behind, is ME too!!! I am sooooo happy I found you! I have many 'interesting' conversations with other friends and family that have no problem saying that chaos is better and noise is 'life'. I always seek Peace and order, even when listening to their criticism or joking about my organization. When life becomes too much for them, they often come to me, because they say my home is peaceful and I am calm and a good listener. Hmmmm Thank you again, it's so wonderful to meet you! May The Lord richly bless and keep you!

Man, I will be honest Ms. Nikki I was intimidated by this channel. Oooo, my home is nothing like the pristine showmanship of the home presented here. I like your teaching style though. Well, I started watching all the workbag videos and how to organize your desk (boy do I need this) and it made me start watching all the videos. I realize we all are different and it is the "system" and thought process. I see see see that now. I need systems...otherwise I am a wreck I feel more than the average person. I thank you for this message and going over the thought process. I used to wonder how my grandmother stay IMMACULATE daily...to the day she died. She had the thought process. Thank you and I really appreciate your guidance. :)

Your entry hall is just beautiful! Y’all did a great job on it! The tasks I hate doing more than any other are making my bed and unloading the dishwasher but I love it when they are done. I couple those two tasks with getting them done while my coffee is brewing. I hit the on button and try to “beat the clock” to have them done when the coffee is done. It’s so funny being a grownup having to trick myself into getting it done. On the other hand, I don’t mind scrubbing bathrooms and I love cleaning windows-could do it all dang day!

These were awesome tips, Nikki. Everyone of them I use day to day in my life so it was confirmation. The one I’ve been loving lately is the knowing when to break away from social media and people to regroup. I’m also a person that doesn’t like much noise playing throughout the house so after listening to music or watching a family movie, I have to shut it off 😄.

I do laundry once a week. I am very big on separating my colors, and if I did it daily, odd colors would be paired together. I start off with the items easiest to fold and put away, like towels and jeans. Whites and lights are next, then finally blacks/darks.

I agree. With just two of us, I do one load of whites and one load of colored clothing once a week.
@DeannaPiercy3 жыл бұрын
I think I must do more laundry than the average. It's just my husband and myself these days and yet I can easily do a load a day, somedays more. I do our sheets and towels every Monday. Once a week I do all the kitchen dish cloths and towels, and anything else that needs to be bleached. My husband and I both wear mostly dark clothes so I can do at least a load a week of his jeans and work shirts, another couple of my casual day dresses and his dark shirts, and one a week of light permanent press. Back when our two kids were home I did at least 15-16 loads a week. I definitely don't miss that!
