I was told that the minimum time to study for the exam was 1 month but I didn't had that time. I watched your videos for 2 weeks while at the same time using the review book since I got it and might as well use it. You basically covered most, if not, all of what the review book covered. Your videos made it more efficient and better to study for the exam. I just took mine on Dec 6th and I passed. After that, I got admitted to the entry level master's program and I start in January 2024. Thank you very much for the videos!

This video is so helpful and straight to the point. I used they ATI teas 7 book and failed my teas exam a few weeks ago. I also used nurse hub and still failed. So I think I will try Smart Edition.

@@AdvancedPlanet you’ll do great ! I wasn’t provided a calculator for the TEAS and math is my weakest subject. I was terrified to not meet my school requirements which was a 65% and I scored more than that. I took the teas 5 days before the nursing application deadline and yesterday I just received my acceptance letter to nursing school. It’s totally okay to feel nervous but just really dedicate most of your time to questions and actually understand the context. You’ll do just fine ! And worst case scenario, there’s always another try. Wishing you the best, you’ll do great !

​@@AdvancedPlanet Keep studying and don't take breaks. Your second attempt should be much higher because you already know what to expect. My college "New York City College of Technology", needs a minimum of 65. They also don't compare scores, they only look to see if you got a 65 or higher. They calculate students acceptance base on highest GPA. Find out If your school is also that way. You scored a 64, you only need 10 more points. That's very doable. Practice questions will be your best friend !! do as many as possible and study at least 4 hours a day !! repetition is key! Im sure you'll do great a second time.

Hi Nurse Cheung. So basically I was told on Oct 13 I was accepted unless I took the TEAS 7. 😂 And I only had two and a half weeks to study. I literally felt sick the whole day. And the next. So maybe two weeks. Lol. I studied from the SmartPrep science portion for abour a week and a half. By then, I had already retaken the science pretests 3 times. LOL I SUCK AT SCIENCE AND I KNEW IT!! I finished my prereqs like 3 years ago. Then, I was like... holy heck, what do I do? Smartprep has too much reading and math that I do already feel like I know already. It gets boring to study. I had to figure out a better way to do it in a shorter time without tiring myself out. So, I looked around and found eventually found your How to Get a Perfect score videos. I used them to study reading and english in 3-5 days. I also used it for math for about 2-3 days. Then, I took the pretests for all those three sections. And I just focused on whatever they told me to. And then I went to go and take the post tests but I didnt retake them for the third time. I then went to take practice test B and C on the site. My highest score was like 65% and I felt screwed. However when I took the actual TEAS I got a 90% with my highest score being in math. I found your videos INCREDIBLY helpful, and a good big picture of everything because there's too many details to focus on! It's a real guide that I can appreciate. You have no idea how scared I was for this exam. I didn't even think I could score that high. My highest score was in math, can you believe it? And my worst was in science. Lol a lot of questions confused me, mainly the biology questions. I'm not sure why. I also found the english part a little confusing and felt like I could have brushed on it a bit more. But I did focus on things I sucked at, like adverbs vs adjectives, connotations, the use of apostrophes. Like that stuff basically. But you really helped me calm down and feel like the exam wasn't going to be as much as Mometrix potrays it as to be. I looked at a reddit post and someone said Smartprep was too easy and Mometrix was too difficult. But honestly I feel like you're somewhere in the middle with Smartprep. I think anyone could ace this exam with you and smartprep. That's all I used. Hank you so much Nurse Cheung ❤🎉 I'm excited to be a nurse. It's all thanks to your help!

The other resource I used is the youtuber JG - The Organic Chemistry Tutor for things that were more focused and in depth on percentage problems, decimals, fractions, improper fractions, mixed numbers, LCM & MCM, mean, median, mode, range, graphs, and I also looked at his videos covering area and volume. I really just enjoyed listening to his voice and it was so therapeutic to watch his videos. Another resource I used is google - googling various images or sites that can help me understand and compare english parts more at a quick and easy to reference glance to really compare the relationships between different things in english. I felt like I was going to do poorly in science no matter how i studied so I really did focus on math, english, and reading even if just a week before the exam. 😅 Because then I would most likely score higher and be more quick and efficient with the use of my time I have on the test to complete each and every question with precision, accuracy, and without mistake. I know I scored highest on math, but I have to tell you that section took all my time. I finished most of the other sections with time left over but math took all of my time. I'm not sure why. Even though I brushed up and tried to figure out how to do the problems quickly before the exam. You really have to look at math as a picture and really envision what they're trying to say or tell you in the problem they want you to figure out and figure out how it makes sense in your head rather than, ie something that's hard or impossible to do. It's not. And I just feel like math is easier that way. Also I did not know how to convert properly but I did use KHDuDCM. Lol. But I did recheck by trying to learn to reconvert properly on the exam. I was pretty horrible at AP physics in highschool but at least I learned to convert a lot and I feel like that reflects on today as something I already knew from the past. It's important to really rely on what you think you know and is true vs what your studying because it helps you study in such a way that you remember it and I feel that's so smart to do when there's too much information for anyone to handle.

If I could do anything differently I'd definitely buy nurse cheung's 1500 science question book at least 5-9 months before the exam. 😂 And maybe her study guide too. Just because I love her so much and want to support her; her videos on how to get a perfect score really helped. 🤭 I'm so happy you exist Nurse Cheung! Thank you❤ Another thing I would do differently is NOT buy Mometrix unless you really want to get really into depth and know more than what you're supposed to know. Which is... an achievement in itself believe me but that book is too much info to pack up in my silly little head. 😂 I only used Mometrix to study the heart, but I felt like it explained it in a more difficult way than it should have been. I would just use smartprep and nurse cheug and maybe some random buology or physiology videos on youtube to brush up on anything not understood and to study the heart. I would also buy smartedition. Its cheap like $15 a month for 3-4 months and has good questions that make you feel like you know your shit. Which I barely used. But, oh well. They let you keep it for life at least as I read from their site. I wouldn't buy any books for this exam besides maybe nurse cheungs books if youre really struggling. The ati teas book was simpler and shorter than the smartprep and left me feeling devaststed at how short it was. I only read it for maybe like 10 minutes. Smartprep 2.0 and the practice exams are the way to go.😂🎉❤

Hoonnesstly, I scored higher in the science part than I expected. Like what? I'm so confused. I don't know. (And I'm really grateful for that because I didn't know we needed a certain percentage high in each category, at least someone told me that.) I really just chose answers that made the most sense according to what they're asking. During the exam I was like... okay this answer fits what I would want to think, but is it too much? Maybe there's a more definition way of saying it like they would. Or if I didn't know the answer I would compare the answers to other answers and I felt like that helped a lot. There were also times I just didn't know one answer but I knew all the other 2 or 3 could be right or wrong. It's all a process of elimination and I somehow guessed right on some I guess. Or maybe I did know?? I don't know. I need more confidence in myself 😂 I feel like the way I think really helped me pass. Choosing between answers and making a little scenario in your head to make the most sense between the answers will help a lot 😂 It's hard but I think I managed to work out the answer game. Lol. But anyways that test had me FREAKED and I literally cried at the table and a girl laughed at me 😂😂😅 But anyway. Err... 😅 Idk. I didn't even feel like I could pass it. How did I?? 😂 Yippee I guess 🎉 I deeefiniiteely say this when I mean it - sleep. before. the. exam. Yo tired butt ain't gonna be up reading 1 hour worth of stuff at whatever test time am in the morning pm in the evening with only 3 hrs of sleep. Get your sleep. 😂 Too often more than not these days people aren't getting sleep. But then again I woke up 3 hours before the exam not being able to go back asleep. The anxiety I get is HORRID. 😂 Chugged a monster (i know, trying to quit 😂) ate a twix my boyfriend got me and I took that test. 😤 I would say to put all those feelings all in a box and hide it under your butt. I also feel like it was helpful knowing the order of the exam before the test (I googled it to know when I'm gonna be reading and when to be preparee cus I'm slow) It starts off with reading, then math, then you have an optionable break, then science, and finally, english. Wew im tired. Studying for this exam was exhausting 😂 It's also helpful to know the time and how much time you know you'll have to take it. I had a practice question that asked "Where does Iron and Bile salts get absorbed?" With both Jejunum and Ileum as options, I honestly didn't know which to choose because both Iron and Bile salts get absorbed in completely different locations....How would I have known which to choose? Iron is definitely not absorbed in the Ileum but Bile salts are. Distil Duodenum/Proximal Jejunum absorbs Iron, but not bile salts. It's been driving me nuts because I did so well in A&P and wondering if they're going to ask some obscure questions that ask about minor functions rather than major ones.

If you are going to watch this, put on the closed caption because this lady talks super fast. Be prepared to also hear the items presented on the slides which are blocked by the narrator and not sized properly for the page and her together and the print is so pale when you pause it that you will likely need to stand in front of the tv in order to read it if you are jotting down notes. The poor design, too fast delivery of the slides actually turned a less than hour long video into an hours long task to get through. I had gotten so deep into the video by halfway (took a couple of hours with taking notes) that i decided not to find another video related to the ATI TEAS test. I regret my choice because a lot of rewinding, rewatching adds and un needed stress resulted during my study time for this test. The information was good, but there were several instances where not all info presented was discussed by the narrator. Example- I had to look up Pancreas, and the Appendix amongst other listed items to get the functions. If I had the option to give both a thumbs up and a thumbs down, I would choose that. I am grateful for the free information though, so thank you. I hope that my feedback is helpful for future video production.
