Ok I'm a 57-year-old white guy from Portland Oregon. Yet I remember the golden age of Roller Skate on the west coast. When I was in my early teens I loved to go to the local skate rink, not outside of town but downtown where the real skating went down. I like the music and I liked this skating. See this takes me back and all I can do is smile. I wish there was a someplace like this out here. I'm glad I found this channel.

I'm 36 and I am from the Western New York state area like Niagara falls NY Buffalo NY and around there, we had a sking rink called Rainbow roller rink and every weekend we'd go there Fri and Saturday nights it was Soo much fun from like 5th grade to 10th. After 10th hanging round the kids wasn't as fun but it was great for us. It kept us off the streets and we were able to hang out with her friends in a safe environment it was really nice.. Id love to take my kids to do it but in fortunately my 6 and 4yr olds have special needs. My son has autism spectrum disorder and my daughter has a cognitive functioning and OCD co-occuring disorder so they wouldn't do too well with other people around. My daughter actually goes to a private Christian School where there's only 14 kids in the entire School, it is not for kids with special needs but it really helps her being in that small environment. So I'm not sure she would be able to do this. But I remember the memories I had it was so nice. Maybe when she gets older I'll try to take her. I have an 18 year old son and when he was little I used to take him. We would have so much fun. He actually played hockey all the way through high school and loved it. And the roller rink was a good way to practice getting his ankles strong. I hope you can find a way to get back to doing it seems like you really loved it and I'm sure you would be great still!

He helped me create my own custom skates piece by piece...the Riddell black leather boot, a something or other plate (can't recall the name right now) and wheel bearings, and American Dream wheels! I loved those skates and still have them. I used to skate 3-4 sessions a week and truly miss it. I do not believe there are any roller skating rinks around here anymore and I have such good memories of when I used to go! I miss it and want to go!! It's amazing that so many of the skating moves and ways have not changed at all!!! Sure wish I could skate with you guys and you could teach me all the new moves! Keep up the great videos and good!!

Different generations in on room having a BALL......Oh my gosh these are those times we need to get back to and hold on too because these kind of activities allow us to live long lovely lives......with each not against each other. Tgank you for the video💖
