Right on the west side of the Tackle Box Tavern my Granddaddy had a scooter rental and my dad would work there during the summer. I'm from the West coast but my wife and I go back to Morehead and Atlantic beach every summer. Good Video!

It sure isn't 1979. They destroyed what was once the hottest entertainment spot between Virginia and the Florida coasts. As though none of it even existed.

I’m lucky enough to have been born in Atlantic Beach and got to experience the circle before they wiped it out. It was an incredible spot, so many of us hung out there when we were kids. Then one day, poof. It was all gone. Whenever tourists would find out I was local, they’d always ask “What is there to do here? There’s nothing to do” And I’d have to tell them about the circle. It’s a sad thing man. Really is. I moved away years ago and haven’t been back, I miss Atlantic Beach 😢

@@ghostfacepanda I feel ya !! I used to feast at Taco Mex, rock out at Night Moves and even wander into the Incinerator (Disco) on the beach right behind Taco Mex. I can't remember the name of the bar that was attached to it though. A young couple named Wade & Linby operated the Incinerator, as I recall. I do miss many old, local friend that, perhaps you might know. I'm pleasantly surprised to here that El's is still open on Arendell Street. :)
