Just making sure, this is differental and transfer case only, correct? I'm not seeing anything about axles here despite the title. Does anything need to be done with the axles?

I have niose on the rear differential for my Range Rover sport 2009 What I should do? Change oil for differential or change the diff?

the drain and refill plugs in the kit for the transfer case do not match the ones on that disco, or on my 2000 disco. Is there any reason not to reuse the existing ones? Also, the manual indicates that these are fill to a slight trickle capacities.

Michael Pettit The plastic plugs always get buggered up taking them out

@@discodaze9972 Best to fit the brass drain and fill plugs with new seals (kept my plastic plugs though as "spares" - remove the plastic plugs with a socket or large screwdriver, OR pliers if they have been mangled up).

For the absolute life of me I cannot remove the 1/2" transfer box fill plug (above the handbrake drum). Have tried breaker bar with cheater bar!!! Why someone tightened it up so much I will never know!!! Must have previously been tightened up by "Magilla The Gorilla"! Doesn't help that I'm lying underneath the vehicle (don't have the luxury of a hoist). Any tips to get this bugger out? (I am now able to get the 1/2" male into the female socket - but just can't turn it (loosen it - anti-clockwise of course)!!! [The drain plug does give, but not removing that until I can remove the fill plug.]

Unfortunately, there is no other way outside of getting better leverage on the plug.

@@atlanticbritishrp "Cheapo" 3/8" wobble bar extension broke! Okay, will have to go to a mechanic then - getting it up on a hoist will better serve access and leverage with a longer breaker bar. Thanks. PS Will ask mechanic not to tighten the fill plug so much this time!

I'll tell you the best way by far I've discovered. A drive belt tensioner tool because it has a half inch already built in and it is extremely thin and fits right up in there
