Thanks for this, helped a lot for the front suspension install. Wanted to add one thing, when R&I'd the front springs, our D2 had a cross-member that went under the front drive shaft that prevented the front axle from being lowered enough to slide the springs in/out. We tried using a bottle jack to push the axle down more but it just wasn't enough. We ended up disconnecting the driveshaft and then lowering the axle to swap the springs. Other than that, the video was spot on. Only other trouble was the coolant lines instantly snapped when we moved the reservoir (the probably needed to be replaced anyway by how brittle they were!)

i'm also very much looking forward to this content. i actually had more or less the same vision about 4-5 months ago, when i bought my first disco-- modify/outfit it, as you guys put it, as a lifestyle camping vehicle. i just got mine back today from having the lift done. next steps, more or less in order as i'm doing this piecemeal as i figure out what to prioritize, a/t tires, james barroud hard top tent w/spare mount, bumpers, etc. really nice to see your company pursuing the same concept. i may have germinated the idea first (maybe) but i'll be following your lead. :-) my first disco cost $5000, in sound mechanical shape, with the LR add-on roofrack in good shape, so not too bad. my second disco (that i'm going to either restore or cannibalize for parts or both to some degree) cost $900. everything's sound BUT the engine (thrown rod). anyway, very much looking forward to seeing everything you do to the discovery.

Letting the rear caliper dangle like that is probably not recommended - The pipe is probably going to be fine, but to be sure, just use a bungee cord or similar to hook it up out of the way.

Just put this on out in the hot south Florida sun on asphalt... miserably HOT! but boy does disco look better! and DRIVE better and looks nice! my springs however were dark grey made in late 2017 and its center wheel to bottom of fender well is now 22! before the new springs were installed my measurment was 18! thats 4"! ( I have full roof rack and rear steel bumper from AB !i think old shocks were really sagging... 125k on original shocks and springs... also when under there I noticed an unfortunate watts linkage bushing on the outside of one arm is bad... that explains the clunking around here and there I heard. Also I did this with 2 3ton jack stands and a 4 ton floor jack... and my bottle jack.. not too hard.. I did loosen one of the sway bars for a little give...worked like a champ

OR.. you can put the bottle jack between the axle and the frame so you can push the axle down and remove the spring. No spring compressor needed.

Fabulous video!, thanks for sharing your knowledge...and I really appreciate you making an effort to get a little more light in under the bonnet and wheel arches as you're showing it. May I ask a question regarding the springs specifically. I am going the other way and trying to lower my back end by just 2-inches. I have no wheel speed sensors to deal with. I have a 1983 Hi-Capacity 110 pick-up. It was fitted with Discovery 300tdi axles before I bought it. I don'y carry any weight in it as I am covering the tub on the back into a camper module complete with hammock. (I've already fitted a roof over the tub, which is an old series-2A roof just hovering over the tub with hoops that were made to fit the roof and the tub). However the back of the Landrover is just 2-inches too heigh for a short-arse like me to be getting in and out easily. As I said I carry no weight in the tub so just want to lower the back end for easier access. So my question is, do I simply need to find springs that are shorter by 2-inches although with the same gauge to lower the back end? Is there anything else that I'm missing from this idea?

Hi Guys, great video! Question, what issues are you potentially looking at with this lift? Drivechain issues? 4 wheel alignment needed?

Thanks for uploading the video. It was helpful, but Man, you didn’t say anything about the fact that TF makes side specific springs. I didn’t know and I installed my left front spring on the right side. Did the same in the rear. Have to do the work again to fix them.... What a PITA!

Great.. I just completed the front coil springs, and shocks towers replacement (after watching the video). Now I'm going to complete the rear.. replacement of the air bags- to change them to coil springs. After removing the air bags.. I noticed there wasn't any isolator for the top & bottom. Had to stop, and order the isolator for the coil springs.. once the air bags was removed.

Sure wish Discovery 2 springs would be sold in regards to LENGTH / SPRING RATE. Instead because the community doesn't actually off-road much and they mostly just drive around malls, the springs are called "soft" "firm" "2 inch lift". That really leaves a lot up in the air. Terra firma is junk as is old man emu and nearly everyone uses one or the other. Sheesh.
